The ideal YCA will be a team player, passionate about helping at-risk youth learn life skills, and calm under stressful situations. A day in the life of a Youth Care Associate: Build relationships and mentor youth ages 17 to 21 who have intense emotional and behavioral needs. Provide supervision of youth to maintain a safe environment and oversee daily routine. Act as a positive role model including appropriate language, dress and social skills. Encourage a safe and healthy lifestyle, including meal preparation, routine chore supervision, laundry, minor maintenance or cleaning tasks. Support youth in their treatment plan, such as learning coping skills to manage emotions. Create and participating in recreational activities. Assume responsibility for a variety of campus activities, including but not limited to: driving a campus vehicle, transporting clients, preparing clients for visits, clothing or supply shopping. For this position, you must: Have a High School Diploma or GED. Have a valid Kentucky Driver's License. Pass a background check. Pass a drug test. Be trained in CPR/First Aid (training provided).     Monitor Tech/Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Unit Secretary Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the PCT/Unit Secretary provides direct and indirect patient care. This role provides excellence in patient care while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone. In addition, unit secretaries play a vital role in maintaining efficient operations within hospital units by providing administrative support and ensuring effective communication between staff and patients. Responsible for assisting nursing with cardiac monitoring of patients with cardiac monitoring orders. Care and maintenance of cardiac equipment. Performs direct patient care and related tasks as outlined by scope of practice and including but not limited to: Assists patients in personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dental and oral care, hair, and nail care. Assists patients with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity. o Records patient intake and output (I & O). Collects, labels, and transports specimens for laboratory analysis. Assists patients with activity, turning and repositioning as indicated by provider order and in collaboration with the nurse. Communicates pertinent patient information/findings to patient's nurse. Ensures positive customer relations interactions. Responds promptly to customer needs, both patient and visitor Responds to requests for service and assistance in a positive manner. Requirements: Prefer 1 year Cardiac Monitor Experience Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
