Five years of recent (within the last seven years) of full-time employment experience directly related to the vocational teaching area is preferred. We serve over 800 students across two campuses predominantly from the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan. The Assistant Teacher supports the 1st Grade lead teacher in all aspects of teaching including the support of special education students in a full-inclusion classroom and the implementation of the curriculum. You care deeply about helping to scaffold students' learning while developing your own knowledge about the work of a classroom and school environment. Hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and you will work at our Queen St. campus in a 1st Grade classroom.
