What You'll Do:
Accurately diagnose cause of garage door issues, recommend options for solutions, price repairs (when applicable) in accordance with company policy, complete repairs and/or installs after authorization is received, collect and timely deliver payment from customer to office (daily preferred, but always within two business days), complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Upon completion of service, review invoice and explain work completed (in person, by phone or by email) with customer to confirm satisfaction. Communicate any issues, concerns or outstanding items to office for scheduled follow-up.
Always maintain positive attitude with customers, fellow employees, and supervisors.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, CSRs, and customers to always ensure complete alignment during the service repair or replacement process.
Work with and train any helpers which may be assigned to work with you.
Maintain company-specified tools, equipment and inventory in your truck for most cost-effective delivery of quality service.
Attend department meetings and company or vendor training as required.
Maintain necessary licenses or certifications and complete required continuing education.
Always exhibit professional conduct, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles.
Identify and immediately (first opportunity, but always within one hour) report any damage to customer's property.
Clean and clear the work area after job has been completed.
Maintain and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
Follow all safety protocols, regulations and company policies while driving.
Always wear company uniform and maintain well-groomed appearance in accordance with company policies.
Be available to serve periodic on-call rotation assignments (per schedule approved by service manager) necessary to ensure quality coverage for customers.
May have to work a Saturday once or twice a month.
Other duties as assigned.

We have an opportunity for an on-call Transit Maintenance and Safety Compliance Specialist to join our Florida division. This position will work under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager to perform transit maintenance and safety inspections for transit providers that receive funding from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Reconcile employee benefit deductions, premiums, and contributions to ensure accuracy between payroll records, vendor invoices, and general ledger accounts.
Compensation Plans & Wage Assessments
Assist in developing and maintaining Compensation Plans for employees in collaboration with Finance and HR.
Conduct wage assessments and monitor average salaries for various positions across all company locations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Maintain and update labor codes and contract billing rates within Deltek Vantagepoint to ensure the accuracy of project and financial data.
Support Finance and HR with compensation analysis, rate adjustments, and compliance reporting.
Accounts Payable (AP)
Enter and process vendor invoices to ensure accurate coding and proper documentation.
Maintain vendor files and assist with annual W-9 and 1099 documentation.
Provide coverage during AP staff PTO or peak workload periods.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Assist with customer invoicing, cash applications, and collections, and follow up as needed.
Reconcile AR aging and coordinate with project managers on outstanding receivables.
Provide documentation and reporting support for audits and management requests.
Purchasing & General Finance Support
Support purchasing and vendor setup processes, including tracking company assets and fleet purchases.
Assist with reviewing and maintaining pricing agreements and purchase requisitions.
Provide cross-functional support across Finance operations to ensure continuity during staff absences.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Miscellaneous Support:
May perform light office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, and scanning.
May carry out other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
5-6 years of experience in payroll and general accounting support roles; multi-state payroll experience required.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred or will obtain.
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and payroll systems such as ADP or Paycom is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, wage analysis, and compensation benchmarking.

About the Role
We're looking for a detail -oriented, early -career professional to help keep Downstream's partners in good standing with our insurance and risk management standards.
