**Compensation Overview**
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

**What Is the Opportunity?**
The Travelers Catastrophe Risk Management Group is seeking a Cyber Peril Lead to join our PERILS team leading our research related to man-made perils with a focus on Cyber risk. You will be joining a group of dedicated professionals charged with leading Travelers to be in position to successfully endure catastrophic loss from natural and man-made perils.
The PERILS team is a multi-discipline group focusing on peril research, the development of next generation analytics, and event response activities. As a member of this Team, you will be an active participant in the development and implementation of peril research and strategies. The team engages in enterprise-wide complex multi-disciplinary CAT research projects with various depths of focus. The position requires an individual who can strive in an analytical, innovation-driven environment, in tune with business needs.
**What Will You Do?**
We are seeking a candidate with a solid analytical base in cyber risk management or a scientific, engineering, or related quantitative discipline. The person will have effective self-organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and formulate and execute project objectives. We seek problem solving and critical thinking skills in support of the team's efforts to provide best-in-class analyses to our business partners. Some of the specific duties include:
+ Provide thought leadership and strategy support related to portfolio cyber risk
+ Validate cyber aggregation risk models and technographic scores
+ Assist the Cyber Underwriting team with subject matter technical expertise and guidance
+ Identify, select, and extract relevant data from various internal and external sources. Complete analyses and present recommendations to team members, stakeholders, and Leadership
+ Stay abreast of the latest scientific research and summarize findings for the peril, including recent trends in threat actors, techniques and vectors of attack
+ Drive innovation through new tools/technologies and capabilities (e.g., develop custom tail scenarios)
+ Monitor the Company's exposures, aggregations, and peril-specific book mix changes
+ Support our Business Units Consulting and Actuarial functions with ad-hoc research and peril strategy development
+ Create and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners
**What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?**
+ Exposure to cyber catastrophe modeling and/or cyber hygiene technographic scanning tools is a plus
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, SQL, statistical packages, or other programs used to retrieve and analyze data
+ Knowledge of insurance concepts, coverage, products, and operations preferred
+ Ability to apply emerging statistical procedures to large highly complex work
+ Working knowledge of a programming language such as Python/R/Matlab preferred
+ Works well both independently & within a team, strong organization, and time management
+ Demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts across professional fields of discipline
**What is a Must Have?**
+ Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Actuarial Science or related analytical STEM field plus six years of experience or any suitable and equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Heavy concentration in mathematics, including statistics and programming, business intelligence/analytics, as well as data science tools and research using large data sets. Additional verification of specific coursework will be required.

Position Purpose
Under general management, coordinates a cross-functional Agile development team utilizing the principles and tools of the Scrum Framework. Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Level I:
The Scrum Master is a mentor, facilitator and coach for their team(s). They are responsible for teaching and upholding the eSDLC process and scrum practice throughout the lifecycle. They facilitate their teams to increase their velocity and help remove impediments. This position works with the Team Product Owner (TPO) and development team(s), with the emphasis on helping the teams meet their delivery objectives in the most productive manner possible.
Acts as a Scrum Master for one or more delivery teams facilitating all the SCRUM ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Demonstration and Sprint Retrospective.
Partners and leads their team(s) by influence.
Provides mentorship to guide teams in the Agile Scrum methodology, providing team members with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
Trains new team members and TPOs on the current Enterprise Software Development Lifecycle.
Works with the TPO and team to construct the product and sprint backlog.

Teaches new team members how to read and consume Test Specifications and Requirements written in Gherkin format.

Level II (in addition to Level I essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
The Level II leads a multi-team release to completion. This position provides mentorship, facilitation, and coaching for all Scrum Masters across a product. The position facilitates all Scrum Masters and TPOs to complete an integrated, cross-team project plan and executes that plan through Sprints. The Level II facilitates the cross-coordination of dependencies, integration points and cross-team deliveries to ensure that a single, integrated product is being delivered at each Sprint. Additionally, this position facilitates the removal of cross-team barriers and impediments to ensure an on-time product release.
Provides education for employees at all levels, including senior management, on Agile principles, best practices and the eSDLC.
Provides training sessions as necessary utilizing sanctioned training materials to support the organization-wide adoption of Agile Scrum methodologies and the eSDLC.
Works with their peers to facilitate a full release plan for each milestone.
Maintains the Agile documentation to include up to date information, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leads multiple cross-functional Agile Scrum teams on projects utilizing a Scrum of Scrums approach in adherence to the eSDLC.

Ensures retrospectives notes across teams are compiled and utilized within the scrum master community with common themes abstracted, affinitized and placed on the agile transformation backlog each iteration.
Works with all TPOs across the Product to ensure requirements are produced in Gherkin and other formats in accordance to established standards.

Level III (in addition to Level II essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
The Level III is responsible for installing, evolving, training and coaching the eSDLC across all domains. This position establishes lean standards, policies and best practices across the Enterprise to ensure all teams move in the same direction while providing ample room for product teams and individual contributors to have the proper amount of flexibility and empowerment to adjust to their individual needs. The position works with their peers to continually transform the eSDLC and the Enterprise, to maximize delivery, quality and value.
Teaches and mentors Agile Scrum across the Enterprise using Excellus' eSDLC.
Works with other Level II or III scrum masters in conjunction with the Strategic Portfolio Governance team to evolve the eSDLC as needed.
Trains, mentor and coaches Domain Product Owners, TPOs and other Scrum Masters.
Maintains and supports a Scrum Master Community of Practice.
Acts in a change-agent capacity by engaging leadership of all levels to facilitate the removal of impediments and implementation of proactive enhancements within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Manager of Agile Transformation is responsible for managing organizational cultural and structural changes. This role involves working closely with leadership teams to assess and realign structures, processes, and cultural norms to support agile working methods.
