Position Summary:
The Therapist provides structured, goal-oriented, time-limited therapy primarily in the natural environment of families who need assistance recovering from physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, or other issues.

Provide 24 hour crisis intake, intervention and consultation seven days week
Engage families in therapeutic process
Complete ongoing risk assessment and monitor family/parental progress
Develop short and long term family goals with measurable outcomes
Resolve immediate crises and teaches skills necessary for families to remain together and provide for the safety of all members of the family.
Participate in rotation of crisis phone and adheres to policies/procedures regarding crisis phone.
Complete a designated number of direct service hours
Secure supplementary information such as employment, medical records, or school reports.
Schedule sessions at times that are convenient to the client and when client problems are likely to occur including evenings and weekends maintaining a flexible workweek that adapts as changes are needed.
Accept new cases 24 hours a day 7 days per week upon request from a supervisor seeking to make contact and begin services within 24-48 hours of referral.
Travel to client homes and community locations.
Select and administer various tests such as psychological tests, personality inventories, and intelligence quotient tests, to identify behavioral or personality traits and intelligence levels, and records results. Reviews results of tests to evaluate client needs.
Attend Family Team Meetings and Court, including testimony, as requested.
Refer client to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
Collaboratively works with referral sources and other internal programs.
Manage schedule independently
Compile records in accordance with agency policies and prepares reports with their client, including assessments, treatment plans, daily case notes and monthly progress reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification/Licensure:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our Clinical Services team. The Therapist will function as a treatment team leader, providing clinical expertise in behavior management, counseling, and therapeutic interventions. This role includes developing and monitoring treatment programs, facilitating therapy sessions, and providing training to direct care staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Services & Treatment Coordination
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and behavior treatment programs tailored to each student's needs.
Facilitate therapeutic group sessions, such as social skills training, anger management, and relaxation techniques.
Continuously monitor and assess students' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effectiveness.
Provide direct individual therapy sessions for assigned students, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with clinical guidelines.
Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate student admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition and appropriate follow-up care.
Participate in crisis intervention, utilizing approved behavior management strategies to ensure student safety and well-being.
Staff Training & Supervision
Develop and implement training programs for direct care staff on behavioral intervention techniques, de-escalation strategies, and therapeutic approaches.
Provide ongoing guidance and supervision to staff, ensuring consistent implementation of clinical treatment strategies.
Assist in the orientation and onboarding of new employees, familiarizing them with clinical services protocols and student-specific treatment plans.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, case managers, and healthcare providers, to coordinate and enhance student care.
Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical mandated reporting requirements to protect the safety and well-being of individuals served.
Family & Community Engagement
Actively involve families in the treatment planning process, ensuring their input and collaboration in therapeutic interventions.
Offer family counseling services and provide resources to help guardians develop effective child management skills.
Facilitate communication between families and the treatment team, addressing concerns and providing ongoing support.
Coordinate and attend county case reviews, court hearings, and legal meetings as necessary to advocate for students' best interests.

Education & Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling (required)
Experience in special education, psychiatric, pr residential treatment setting with children and adults, particularly those with behavioral, cognitive, or emotional diagnoses, preferred.
Coursework in psychological assessment and counseling methods.
Ongoing participation inin-service training is required.
Required Skills & Attributes:
Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations.
Demonstrated ability to manage health needs in a residential setting.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills, both written and verbal.

They will participate in providing therapy services via a variety of modalities to Purdue students. Staff contributes to clinical service delivery through the provision of individual, couples, and group therapy; on-call services; triage; and substance use, abuse, and dependence services. What We're Looking For
Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates will need:
* Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and or a Masters in an related field
* Current Indiana license, or license eligible as follows:
* (1) Ph.D. or Psy.D. candidates without current Indiana license must demonstrate current eligibility to meet state HSPP licensure requirements within 18 months of hire; or
* (2) Master's candidates without current Indiana license must demonstrate current eligibility to meet state LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or comparable license within 30-months of hire
* Candidates receiving doctoral training with ABD status will be considered
* Candidate must complete doctoral degree within 1 year of start date and obtain license following timeline stated above. Supervision will be provided for doctoral candidates considered
* A minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience
Skills needed:
* Provision of group and individual therapy and clinical supervision. Ability to develop and teach seminars related to the provision of these skills.
