Set up carts and racks. Cut and stage wood for efficient production.
Blow out tubes, package tubes properly, move bundles, and verify tags and stickers.
Assist with raft sizing changes and support H-Coil Operator during roll changes.
Maintain clean staging areas, remove coolant, and check supplies.
Review production schedule for packaging instructions.
Organize, stack, pack, and inspect tubes as they come off the mill.
Follow all direction from Cut Off Operator and Tube Mill Operator.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders.
Ability to write simple reports and documentation.
Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to follow verbal, written, and diagram-based instructions.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
Regular standing and use of hands and fingers.
Frequent repetitive lifting of at least 8 pounds and occasional lifting over 60 pounds.
Ability to maintain close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
Loud production environment typical of steel processing.
