POSITION SUMMARY The Medical Scribe assists the provider with medical documentation to increase the efficiency and productivity of the clinical visit. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS * High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. * Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency required. * Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology required. * Coursework or degree in health sciences preferred. * One-year experience working in a healthcare setting; medical scribe experience in primary care strongly preferred. * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage competing priorities and workflow. * Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office programs; experience with Epic electronic health record preferred. * Able to travel to all clinic locations and work flexible hours that may include evenings and Saturdays. * Current California drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Keyboard skills 55 WPM or greater. * Up to date with COVID-19 vaccines per current CDC guidelines strongly recommended. The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $34.00 per hour. Full-time Description Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Specialty Services along with the Dental Assistant Supervisor and the general supervision of a licensed dentist, the Dental Assistant (DA) performs supportive dental procedures specified by codes and regulations of the Dental Board of California. The DA works with dental providers (DDS) assisting with various clinical procedures, recognized by the California Dental Practice Act.
