This position is responsible for manufacturing product by vialing detection/capture antibodies, calibrators, or assembling antibody set products. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for preparing manufacturing records, dilution and blending of anitbody/calibrator materials, assemble vial sets, and printing of labels as instructed by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in order to produce final goods products for MSD customers. Performs peer review of product labels prior to vialing as the first quality check in the production process. May operate automated vialing, bottling, labeling, or lyphilizing equipment May handle BSL-2 reagents to produce calibrator products. Provides input to improve routine manufacturing processes that provide for better quality and quantity of products. Participates in 5S initiatives by maintaining and improving laboratory tidiness and efficiency. Completes appropriate documentation to support process and production procedures including data entry and batch records and daily maintenance and documentation of all production equipment Participates in general laboratory maintenance including maintaining laboratory cleanliness, supplies and equipment to include but not limited to: preparing, maintaining and reporting reagent inventories, maintain pipette calibration schedules, participating in year-end physical inventory, and defrosting freezers. Purpose: This role is responsible for performing preliminary/incoming inspections, hidden damage inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections on aircraft operated by the airline. Responsibilities: Work with the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to ensure the Quality Control Procedures outlined in the Berry Aviation, Inc. (BAI) General Maintenance Manual are enforced and followed by all personnel. Work with the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to establish the policies and procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual as they relate to the functions of the inspection department. Ensure that when maintenance is performed in accordance with the Air Carriers manuals and that all required inspection items (RII) have been inspected, documented and marked as a "RII" on all required inspection records, forms and/or maintenance logs. Ensure maintenance personnel have and use the most current aircraft/component manufactures maintenance manuals, technical data, and required forms during maintenance. Ensure that precision tools and test equipment used by maintenance personnel are the proper tools and/or test equipment called out in the applicable maintenance/overhaul manuals and are within the required calibration interval at the time of use. Ensure aircraft parts and/or components removed by maintenance personnel during the course of maintenance activities have been properly tagged listing the correct disposition to prevent the use of rejected and/or unserviceable parts. Ensure the procedures for "Segregation and Handling of Parts" as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual is being followed by all personnel. Perform daily in-process inspections on aircraft undergoing maintenance, repair and/or overhaul to assure all worked performed meets the requirements outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43. Perform daily in-process reviews of all inspection records, forms and tags to ensure maintenance personnel are signing off inspection checklists progressively and all inspection findings & corrective actions have been documented on the work order with all required information as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43. Ensure that only serviceable and airworthy approved parts are installed as part of the maintenance performed by the repair station. Monitor shelf life limited parts and materials used by the airline to ensure out of date items are not used on aircraft. During the daily in-process reviews/Inspections identify maintenance tasks that qualify as a major repair/alteration as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43, ensure these tasks are clearly marked on the work order as such. Coordinate with the Lead Mechanic and Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to ensure FAA approved data is available and used to perform the major repair/alteration. Perform maintenance records audit and finial inspection on a civil aviation article once maintenance is complete, this should include the following: Review all inspection records, work orders and forms to ensure maintenance personnel have completed and properly signed off all inspection tasks and cleared all open discrepancies. Ensure all required inspections have been performed and documented as such, this includes any "RII" items. If any major repairs/alterations were performed verify work was performed in accordance with FAA approved data and the corrective action sign off references the approved data. Execute a FAA Form 337 outlining the work performed and forward to the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector for review and approval. If an AFM supplement was included as part of the major repair/alteration, make sure a copy has been placed in the AFM. If any work performed require an update to the current aircraft weight and balance, make sure all required forms have been completed and a copy of the updated weight and balance has been placed in the AFM. If any Airworthiness Directives were complied with verify that the corrective action statement meets the requirements outlined in the General Maintenance Manual. Close out work order package with the required maintenance release and/or return to service statements as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector. Duncan Aviation's Rapid Response Team positions are supporting our AOG/RRT Network and typically work out of one of our Additional Fixed Base Locations or remote based on needs. These positions are not considered Entry Level positions as work is performed independently with minimal oversight. Brand new A&P's are encouraged to apply for an Airframe or Powerplant position at one of our 3 MRO locations to gain experience working on Corporate Aircraft prior to applying for the Rapid Response Team. * Applicants must have an A&P certificate * Applicants must have experience working on all/any of these engines: * Honeywell TFE731, CFE738, HTF7000 Series * Pratt & Whitney 300, 500, 600 & JT15 Series * Williams FJ44 Series * GE CF34 Series * Rolls Royce BR700 Series Essential Job Functions: * Efficiently inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, function tests, removes, reinstalls, and returns to service of aircraft engines and APUs using the proper tooling and test equipment in a safe, professional, and clean manner according to manufacturer's specifications, FAA regulations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures. Performs as an RII Inspector. * Oversees, completes and maintains accurate and timely engine and project documentation including reviewing preliminary reports to ensure accuracy of forecasted and billed labor hours; reviewing work orders and invoices, etc. to ensure timely and accurate inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor and outside services are applied prior to billing. * Assists with developing and maintaining relationships with area customers, communicating with sales and marketing personnel, and monitors the Company's customer database to seek and solicit engine service opportunities. Contacts and calls on customer for engine, APU, or other service support work to meet established financial goals. Responds to customer requests and issues regarding engine and APU service work. * Manages all aspects of assigned engine projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the projects. Accepts full ownership of assigned projects from pre-planning to delivery of the engine through planning, prioritizing, and communicating with customers, Company personnel, OEM's, outside contractors and vendors, as necessary. Ensures the safety and security of customer's equipment during all maintenance phases. * Assists with managing and maintaining adequate and appropriate parts inventory certification, calibration of assigned tooling, working condition and cleanliness of support vehicles. * Be available to provide a continuation of service and be a point of contact for internal or external customers before or after scheduled hours of work. * Performs other duties as assigned by management. Education and Experience: * High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required * Must be a fully licensed A&P in good standing with the FAA * Must have a minimum of four years of Corporate Aviation Maintenance focusing on engine/airframe maintenance experience * Must have previous Lead Technician or AOG maintenance experience with a Corporate Flight Department, Business Jet Service Provider, MRO or OEM. Job Specific Requirements: * Licenses/Certificates: Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required; RII Designation eligible. Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record * Tools/Equipment: Duncan Aviation does require technicians to have their own basic tools to perform essential functions of the job. Duncan Aviation will provide tool lists for each position to qualifying candidates * Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required; multiple overnight and short notice travel * Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting * Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments Available Benefits * Moving is expensive and hard work!
