Maintain accurate records: attendance, incident/accident reports, developmental assessments, lesson plans, etc. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, workshops, and training to stay current on best practices in early childhood education. Collaborate with center leadership and other teachers to support overall program quality, including contributions to enrollment, retention, and center goals. Requirements Required Qualifications: Florida's teacher credential requirements (certified to teach VPK, DCF 45-Hour training, or equivalent; CDA preferred). Previous experience teaching preschool or VPK, with demonstrated experience leading a classroom. Strong knowledge of child development principles and Florida standards. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass state background checks and meet licensing requirements. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. The primary functions of the Teacher Assistant are to provide program assistance for teachers of the 21st CCLC Program with the primary concern for service delivery, lesson plans, and academic and personal enrichment activities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Effectively implement and administer Learning Center programs, activities, and services that prepare students for success and create a learning environment that facilitates achievement of academic and personal enrichment outcomes; · Provide effective Learning Center supervision to promote and stimulate program engagement with students; · Act as a role model and provide guidance to all students; · Support program teachers during academic and personal enrichment programs; · Implementing the Teacher's lesson plans and maintaining daily classroom schedules; · Supporting each child's social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development; · Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times; · Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the Teacher, to meet individual student needs; · Assisting students with assignments or difficult concepts; · Maintaining communication with parents, staff, and faculty regarding the progress of students. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Previous work experience with youth, preferably in an afterschool or summer enrichment program.
