Requirements:
What You'll Do:
Provide a level of care that goes beyond the traditional urgent care setting
Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
Procedures to include EKG and X-ray interpretation, abscess incision and drainage, infection management, reduction of dislocations, splinting of fractures, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration
Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans
Effectively communicate and collaborate with Physicians
Work with an energetic, highly-trained support team, including many shifts with a scribe
Minimum Qualifications:
Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Physician Assistant
Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
Experience with reading diagnostics studies, including X-rays and EKGs
2+ years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
ACLS and PALS Certification preferred

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team. The NP/PA works in collaboration with a supervising physician to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute and urgent medical needs. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications or therapies. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient care continuity and enhancing access in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts
Full-time = 3 shifts per week
Every third weekend required
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct clinical care for patients presenting with urgent or acute conditions.
Perform comprehensive assessments, physical examinations, and medical histories.
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging.
Formulate and initiate treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Counsel patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain clinical competencies.
Ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care within the urgent care setting.
Job Requirements
Education:
Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience:

The Advance Practice Registered Nurse- Clinical Specialty provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population.
