Responsibilities
Communicate courteously with co-workers and customers at job sites or residences
Schedule service calls based on urgency and availability.
Order necessary parts and reschedule appointments if parts are unavailable
Troubleshoot product issues and implement corrective actions
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
Safely operate hand and power tools
Document service calls using mobile devices (iPad, Surface, etc.)
Submit service completion details using company software
Maintain service vehicle cleanliness and functionality
Manage inventory of parts and supplies in warehouse and vehicle
Inspect incoming parts for quality; reject and reorder as needed
Collaborate with other technicians on multi-tech projects
Ensure job sites are left clean and in original condition
Provide feedback to Field Service and Manufacturing teams
Notify distributors of installation-related issues when applicable
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong knowledge of PGT products and warranties
Two to three years of experience in manufacturing or window/door repair
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows
Comfortable using iPads and mobile devices for documentation
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Clean driving record per PGT's safe driving policy
Excellent knowledge of hand and power tool safety
Field Service experience preferred
Self-starter with high motivation
Communicate effectively and courteously with customers, builders, and co-workers
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
Ability to write clear correspondence
Comfortable presenting information in small group settings

As a local Service Technician, you will play a vital role in installing and repairing propane tanks for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
Consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment

Entry Level Technician Responsibilities:
* Conduct Bulk Gas Safety Inspections (BGSI's) on bulk CO2 delivery systems
* Use handheld device for customer information, inspection results, and communication with assigned location management (depot)
* Perform basic installations and service activities as needed
Entry Level Technician Requirements:
* Valid US Driver's license for a minimum of 18 months and have 12 months of relevant driving experience within the previous 2 years
* Be at least 21 years of age
* Must be able to read, write and speak English
* Will be required to pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen
* Must have a clean driving record (no accidents or moving violations in last 24 months)
