BUS DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS: Is at least 21 years of age. Commercial driver's license (CDL), including student and passenger endorsement. Successfully passes an annual medical examination as prescribed by law. Appropriate BCI/FBI clearance. Is of good moral character. REPORTS TO: Transportation Coordinator JOB GOAL: To safely transport students to and from school. Job Summary: As a Vacuum Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum trucks to assist with excavation projects, including the removal of liquids, slurries, and debris. Files complete and accurate paperwork daily, (credit card receipts, timecards, daily completion sheets, job reports, billing, maintenance schedule, safety meeting information). Communicates daily with the foreman regarding safety, work needs. Reports progress of jobs to the foreman and discuss any problems for resolutions. Actively participate in safety meetings. Follows established safety rules on job site, to and from job site, and uses common sense in maintaining a safe environment for self, team members, customer and the public. Assist in any other assigned tasks as required. Monitor and verifies quality control and uniformity of work. Minor mechanical skills are required (repair machine, trailer, etc). Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals etc. Ability to operate construction equipment and tools. A Bucket Truck Operator is responsible for assisting with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. This position operates an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines. While completing assigned duties, you will also operate chain saws, pruners, brush chippers, and may be called upon to climb trees using climbing equipment.
