    Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. **What You Will Do:** + Patient Care: Performs all studies according to policy and procedures and standards established by Accreditation body. Abnormal pathology reported appropriately. Explains procedures to patients, answers patient's questions. Ensures comfort of patient. Assists with patient transport as needed. + Documentation: Obtains pertinent health history. Enters accurate and complete data in diagnostic testing equipment and documentation system. Ensures accuracy of reports prior to dispatch. + Collaboration/Communication: Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members. Collaborates with other departments to provide optimum patient care. + Equipment Resource Management: Knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to specific area of testing. Able to perform basic troubleshooting. Participates in evaluation of new equipment. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Education: High School Education Required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred + · Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible. + · 1. Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a. RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or · b. RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer OR · 2. Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as · a. RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or · b. RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) · OR · 3.
