Responsibilities * Assesses and evaluates patient care for breastfeeding mothers and babies, utilizing evidence based practice * Collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components * Work with state-of-the-art technology * Demonstrates the ability to manage lactation assignment effectively * Provides equipment as needed, formulates feeding plan with parents, makes referrals for services as needed * Promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program Requirements/Qualifications * Graduate from school of nursing * Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio * Certified by International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant Examiners * Effective Communication Skills * Minimum of two years recent and relevant clinical experience Mount Carmel and all its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
