Work Schedule: Part-time, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the general maintenance of one of our transitional housing programs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleaning of the interior of the building includes; vacuuming, dusting, mopping, wax/buffing floors, emptying all garbage, taking care of recycling, cleaning windows, and cleaning bathrooms. Snow removal on the property. Changing light bulbs, fixing switches and outlets, and other maintenance as required. Painting of property as needed. Sweeping and keeping the exterior property of the building free of trash, leaves, etc. Maintaining and ordering maintenance supply inventory. Helping unload deliveries of supplies. Delivering packages and mail to other sites when required by the Director. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent and/or related maintenance experience required. Clean and valid driver's license required. Previous maintenance experience is needed. Needs the ability to establish workload priorities. RESPONSIBILITES: Assist clients in moving their possessions from various locations into program apartments. Conduct Housing Quality Standards Inspections Provide minor repairs and improvements to residences when necessary. Clean-up and disinfecting of apartments prior to occupancy. Remove snow/ice on the various residences property. Keep accurate logs of daily activities. Confirm appointments with clients for their scheduled repairs. Qualifications The position requires related maintenance experience. Must have a clean and valid driver's license without accidents, suspensions and revocations, as well as the ability to drive a box truck. Must have ability to establish workload priorities. The physical ability to perform the essential job functions are needed including lifting up to 50 pounds. In addition, the Maintenance/Driver shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the agency and the clients that we serve.
