Position Purpose: * The Speech Therapist provides evaluation and treatment of patients referred for Speech Language Pathology services. The Speech Therapist communicates and collaborates with other caregivers to provide quality care and maintain accurate patient records. * Casual - Mount Carmel East What You Will Do: * Provides patient evaluations, screenings, and follow-up sessions or phone calls in the management of communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders. * Maintains documentation on all sessions, meetings, and contacts in the patient's medical record. * Maintains proper billing for the services provided. * Communicates with appropriate health care providers on matters concerning patient treatment, continuity of care, and discharge planning. * Advises other colleagues on technical/clinical matters related to speech language pathology. Minimum Qualifications: * Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program; Master or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred. * Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice Speech Therapy in the state of Ohio; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required. * Experience: One year of clinical experience in respective area preferred.
