The primary function of a 21st Century tutor is to provide individualized and group instruction to selected participants in the 21st Century Community Learning Center program at the designated site. The tutor will work with the Program Coordinator and Unit Director to plan and implement each component of the tutoring program in alignment with 21st CCLC program standards. Tutors are responsible for group assessment, benchmark and progress monitoring and reporting the results to the 21st CCLC Project Director as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Communicating effectively with students, staff and the 21st CCLC team while working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods
Utilization of resources provided by the BGCSENC and 21st CCLC program
Effectively deliver instruction to program participants
Manage tutoring group structure and provide quality programming for designated groups
Develop individual, small group and large group academic lesson plans appropriate for participant assessment levels
Teach and evaluate academic lessons
Coordinate after school lessons with Common Core curriculum and review reading and math progression
Help and encourage participants to develop positive attitudes toward learning and studying and develop skills necessary for academic success
Be responsible for maintaining records on each participant who is being tutored, including follow-up and periodic assessment
Provide evaluations and other reports as requested by the 21st CCLC program director Immediately report any unusual incidents, and all dangerous and or potentially dangerous acts, involving individuals using services to immediate supervisor. Report suspect child abuse according to the BGCCC policy
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or as assigned.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has acommitment to team participation in planning and implementation of studentprograms including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultationwith general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
