How You Will Contribute:
Process new and renewal P&C business in a timely and efficient manner in order to grow revenues and maintain retention and profitability.
Underwrites new business by reviewing the application for acceptability, requesting additional information, if necessary, and accepting or rejecting risks in conformance with company guidelines.
Underwrites renewal business by reviewing insured's file, producing agency experience, nature and frequency of losses and prior carrier loss experience.
Develops productive and profitable relationships with Agents.
Meets established goals and delivers timely customer service in all areas.
Maintains a positive working relationship with the Marketing Team on a continuous basis.
Assists in training of other personnel as directed.
Licenses and Certifications:
Ability to obtain a P&C license (in your applicable state) in the first 90 days of employment.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
5+ years insurance industry experience. Home office, retail or wholesale experience is acceptable.
Bachelor's degree (preferred) May substitute 10 years successful industry experience.
Bilingual (preferred)

Effectively communicates in a way that helps customers understand NLG policies and processes for decision making that instills confidence in our practices. Provides Technical Expertise: Guides and educates team members on to improving quality, capabilities, efficiencies, and output. Base Pay Range. The National Accounts Strategic Underwriter is responsible for providing strategic and analytical underwriting support for national account clients. This includes financial modeling, risk assessments, and developing multi-year pricing strategies tailored to large, complex employer groups. The role requires extensive research, and collaboration to meet client demands and support growth and retention. The role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver customized solutions aligned with business priorities.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Create competitive, financially sound proposals for business growth and renewals.
* Collaborate on RFPs.
* Lead contract customization and negotiations, ensuring accurate financial outcomes and risk mitigation.
* Assists in the technical development of underwriting associates, which may include monitoring reports and work flow to provide recommendations on productivity and efficiency improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS in in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field; Minimum of 7 years in large group insurance underwriting, actuarial analysis, or strategic finance.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
* ASA/FSA, CFA, or CEBS credentials preferred.
