Excavate Company Facilities: • Use hand excavation tools. • Follow proper procedures when excavating near or around other utilities. Assist with Regular and Scheduled Maintenance: • Leak investigations, grading, detection, and surveys. • Valve inspections and drip monitoring. • Tightening, adjusting, and repairing basic/minor leakage. Interpret Company Records: • Read and interpret company records, including quad maps and map books. Communicate Effectively: • Communicate with customers and co-workers electronically and in person. • Represent Washington Gas professionally to maintain good customer relations and company reputation. Stock and Equip Company Vehicle: • Order materials needed for daily activities. • Secure and store materials safely. • Dispose of excess debris properly. • Keep vehicle clean and orderly. • Follow guidelines for returning damaged material. Maintain Tools and Equipment: • Inspect, test, and document findings for company equipment, including CGI, fire extinguishers, PPE, and more. What We're Looking For: • High School diploma or equivalent. (G.E.D.) • At least 6 months of experience preferred in construction or mechanical trade such as but limited to; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, carpentry, landscaping, automotive industry. • Experience utilizing hand tools. • Natural Gas experience preferred. • Must pass a pre-interview math and reading assessment administered by Washington Gas. • Basic computer skills. • Demonstrate good verbal communication skills.
