The position supports configuration, data integrity, and ongoing maintenance across core ERP functions.
The Business Systems Analyst serves as a campus-wide strategic leader and subject-matter expert for UCSF's Oracle Cloud ERP platform and related administrative systems. In this capacity, the analyst provides authoritative guidance on system architecture, data governance, integration strategy, and solution design, ensuring that technology decisions advance UCSF's operational, financial, and compliance priorities. The role regularly shapes cross-functional roadmaps, influences policy development, and guides leadership on the implications of system design choices across the enterprise.
This position requires expert-level technical and functional ERP mastery, paired with deep institutional knowledge of UCSF's business processes, operational structures, and policy frameworks. Serving as a recognized campus-wide authority in Oracle Cloud ERP, the analyst leads the design, configuration, testing, and governance of enterprise solutions that enable efficient, compliant, and scalable business operations across the university. The role regularly addresses issues with significant organizational impact, often involving complex, precedent-setting analysis and recommendations.
Acting as the principal liaison between UCSF HR functional leaders, IT technical teams, and Oracle Support, the analyst ensures that Oracle Cloud HCM configurations, integrations, and enhancements not only align with institutional business processes and policy frameworks but also shape future direction. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of UCSF's HR operations, payroll structures, academic personnel policies, and compliance obligations. Success in this role demands advanced analytical expertise, the ability to lead cross-functional decision-making, and the capacity to deliver high-impact, enterprise-class HCM solutions that are scalable, reliable, and optimized for strategic institutional objectives.
Success in this role requires hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud configuration, data validation, regression testing, and issue triage, as well as proficiency in tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, BI Cloud Connect, and HCM Extracts. Experience supporting one or more Oracle Cloud HCM modules such as Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Absence Management, or HR Help Desk is essential.This position includes regular onsite work, typically 1-3 days per month. The exact schedule and frequency may be adjusted as needed to meet departmental and operational demands.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The salary range for this position is $150,300 - $200,000 (Annual Rate).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
10 years related experience
5 years of experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or human capital management (HCM) systems.
Expert-level knowledge of business and process analysis methodologies, with the ability to lead enterprise-wide requirements strategy, facilitate complex fit-gap assessments, and drive redesign of cross-functional business processes.

Deep understanding of UCPath (PeopleSoft) HR/Payroll structures, job data, funding attributes, and underlying data models, including the customizations and integration dependencies required to maintain accuracy and alignment across enterprise systems.
Extensive functional expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP across HCM, Financials, or Supply Chain covering configuration governance, integration analysis, quarterly release management, and cross-module design and dependencies.
Experience operating at scale within a large, complex enterprise environment comparable to UCSF in budget, regulatory requirements, operational complexity, and administrative systems infrastructure.

Purpose The Department of Student Information Systems (SIS) within Student Affairs at Stanford University is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a one-year fixed-term position. SIS supports the university's primary Student Information System (PeopleSoft), its portal (AXESS), and a range of integrated SaaS solutions. Our team of analysts and developers partner with key stakeholders in offices across Student and Academic Services-including the University Registrar, Graduate Admissions, Curriculum, Records, Bechtel, Mind Over Money, and Student Financial Systems-to manage business processes, implement enhancements, and maintain system stability through regular updates and patches.
The Business Systems Analyst will support the Connected Curriculum Project, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, document requirements, and ensure that solutions align with business goals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned analyst who can quickly learn Stanford's business processes, navigate complex APIs, and work with SaaS curriculum products to successfully advance this high-impact initiative.
CORE DUTIES*:
* Translate business processes into system requirements and/or development of systems solutions.

* Provide support to the Curriculum Management and Scheduling team. Work closely with stakeholders to implement multiple scheduling products from third party vendors to improve business operations and workflow. Coordinate the integration of these systems with PeopleSoft to ensure a seamless data synchronization and facilitate a more efficient exchange of information. Play a critical role in enhancing the technological landscape of Curriculum Management and Scheduling and contribute to a more responsive and effective academic infrastructure by aligning system improvements with identified user requirements.
* Perform testing of new systems, upgrades and patching of existing systems; plan, conduct and document results of testing.
* Provide routine maintenance involving the application of regular patches and upgrades to the systems. Conduct meticulous testing on any enhancements or bug fixes introduced by the updates to ensure the seamless functionality of the system and guaranteeing that all implemented changes operate smoothly and contribute positively to the overall system performance.
* Develop comprehensive job aids and training materials tailored for any new PeopleSoft enhancements. Craft these materials to provide clear, user-friendly guidance and ensure that end-users can readily adapt to and capitalize on the added functionalities and improvements introduced through the PeopleSoft enhancements. * Advise users requiring assistance in solving complex problems or issues regarding management and business systems.
* Analyze data and provide data sets to users for analysis. May include development of operational and analytical reports for end users.
* Produce comprehensive GAP reports meticulously mapping the nuanced flow of data between PeopleSoft and a multitude of APIs and implemented products. Ensure a holistic understanding of the data exchange processes and facilitate a seamless integration and alignment between PeopleSoft and the diverse range of APIs and products involved in the implementation initiatives
* Liaise with external vendors or partners in support of business systems, which may include system development, implementation and/or operations.
* Establish a seamless collaboration with the Curriculum Scheduling team and the external vendor, Coursedog, to successfully introduce Coursedog's cutting-edge Curriculum and Scheduling products. Conduct intricate data analysis, meticulous data mapping, rigorous QA testing, and ensure data integrity. Serve as a bridge between functional users and developers and facilitate effective communication to bring about a cohesive and streamlined implementation process. Ensure ongoing support for addressing issues and implementing enhancements to optimize the system's performance over time.
* Coordinate the implementation of new or modified business systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flow.
* Experience with enterprise applications and understanding of database driven applications.
* Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
* Current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology.
* Skill in conducting interviews and facilitating group meetings.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Review, Remediation, and Educate on Charge Capture / Reimbursement Opportunities Inpatient
+ Identify and resolve charge capture and reimbursement issues across Inpatient and with some Outpatient areas, leveraging Epic, Revenue Guardian, SSRS, and other tools
+ Educate departments on accurate charge capture and billing processes to support regulatory compliance and revenue optimization
+ Implement and maintain reports and work lists using various software applications such as Epic (Cogito), BOE, Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access
+ Develops and maintains reports and performing analysis that allows Revenue Integrity to identify trends and provide feedback to help improve overall performance of Revenue Integrity Department and Enterprise Revenue Cycle
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree in a health-care oriented profession, that demonstrates analytical and leadership abilities in revenue integrity, health information management, or patient access environment

APeX Patient Access Application Analyst - Cadence

The APeX Application Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing Epic's Cadence module with a focus on scheduling, referrals, and self-scheduling workflows. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Cadence build and support, along with expertise in referral management and patient self-scheduling. Department Description
Clinical Systems and Health Informatics are responsible for all aspects of the clinical and business software applications of UCSF Health hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the Electronic Health Record (APeX), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the health system and its affiliates, and approximately 95 other software applications involved in patient care and operations.

This position is considered Flexible Rotation: The employee will work on a rotational schedule to ensure onsite coverage of key IT functions. This role will be expected onsite at least one week per quarter based on business needs. UCSF Health is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support the Ambient Assistant Program Manager in expanding and optimizing AI-powered ambient assistant solutions. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, particularly with Epic EHR and other healthcare applications, and the ability to solve complex, unique challenges that lack precedent or structure.
The Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and implementation of AI-driven clinical documentation tools, working alongside IT, informatics, clinical, and operational leaders. This position offers an opportunity to work along side other experienced team members to manage technical strategies, system configurations, and performance optimizations to enhance staff efficiency and patient care.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $156,600 - $187,000(Annual Rate).

Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
4 years minimum experience configuring Epic
Epic Certification in at least one application
Strong background in system integration, software deployment, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations in healthcare.
Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent/related functions. Experience with health data integration using APIs, sFTP, and some knowledge of HL7 interfaces
Familiarity with data quality and governance issues and requirements.
