Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Under the direction of the UCI Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and the Director for Physician Enterprise Clinical Operations, for UCI Health, the Specialty Care Administrator applies extensive knowledge and technical expertise in managing, planning, administering, and coordinating administrative operations for the UCI Specialty Care Associates Medical Group.
The incumbent works in collaboration with the UCI Specialty Care Medical Director and assists with advancing the various initiatives of the UCI Specialty Care Physician and APP Workforce.
This position will assist in optimal daily physician clinical operations; assist in physician and provider recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with various UCI entities; manage physician and provider schedules; manage payroll and related human resource matters for over 30 Physicians, 6 Nurse Practitioners, with plans for continued growth; annual preparation and financial management of about a $13M budget; assist in the facilitation of outstanding primary care services as measured by metrics of quality of care, patient satisfaction and financial performance; and provide direction, assistance, or support of initiatives regarding UCI strategic goals as they relate to the delivery and growth of primary care services at UCI.

Performs professional nursing duties that incorporate the psychomotor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other to assess, plan, intervene and advocate for the patient on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Will evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of plan of care, and readiness for discharge and revise plan or make referrals as necessary. Acts as a role model and mentor to a variety of students and nurses new to the unit. Functions as a (PCC) Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Two years recent nursing experience in a Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Perioperative setting
* PALS certification upon hire
* Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
* Minimum six (6) months of procedural care experience.
* All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
* Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
* Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
* Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
* Ability to cover call shifts (24/7)
* ACLS certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
* Moderate sedation experience
* Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

* Pediatric Advanced Life Supp
* Basic Life Support
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support
