The Department of Sociology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks to hire a part-time Lecturer to teach SOCY 3100 - Foundations of Behavioral Health, a undergraduate course that is a core requirement for its newly launched Behavioral Health Certificate in conjunction with the Health & Behavioral Sciences department. The course is scheduled to be offered online. This position will be supervised by the Sociology department chair.
The Sociology Department at CU Denver is a mid-sized department with active, engaged faculty and students. The department hosts a lecturer series each semester, bringing local and regional leaders to speak on current topics, and supports an energetic student club that also hosts events, speakers, and activities for engaging students and faculty.

Job Summary:
The University of Colorado Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, is seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our faculty. The CRNA/CAA Anesthetist will play a vital role in providing specialized anesthesia care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures.
The primary clinical site for this position is Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO). This premier hospital, which has been ranked among the top Children's hospitals in the country for almost two decades, is a 600-bed tertiary care children's hospital located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. CHCO has a level IV NICU and is the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in Colorado. With 4 hospitals, 16 network of care locations and more than 500 outreach clinics in over 29 cities, the CHCO network serves the children of Colorado and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Record relevant events during anesthesia administration, including vital signs, drug administration, and procedures performed, following established documentation guidelines.
Safely transport patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and provide a brief report on anesthesia care to PACU nurses.
Maintain progress notes on patients.
Comply with departmental requirements for billing purposes.
The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will work under the medical direction of attending anesthesiologists and assist in delivering and documenting pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Anesthesia services may be provided in operating rooms, procedure centers, radiology, and special procedure areas as needed. The administration of anesthesia will always be supervised by attending anesthesiologists.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, CAAs/CRNAs in this department are also faculty members of the School of Medicine and are expected to contribute to the teaching needs of the Department and the School. Collaboration with all members of the anesthesia department, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals is essential, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures is expected.

The Department of Chemistry takes pride in high-quality coursework and student-centered research, led by award-winning faculty. Currently, the department has about 300 students who are pursuing BS degrees in chemistry, BS degrees in biochemistry, or MS degrees in Chemistry. Multiple certificate programs are also available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Chemistry or Biochemistry courses per semester for the Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver.

Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than two courses per semester. What you will do:
The Department of Architecture in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments will be made. Lecturers selected from this pool will teach six-credit-hour design studios in the Department of Architecture's undergraduate and/or graduate programs. These may include lectures/studios in all teaching modes (in-person, hybrid, online, remote).
Lecturers that are hired to teach design studios are expected to have expertise and experience in architectural design. This includes knowledge of different design paradigms, design skills, and approaches to project design. A successful applicant must be able to develop and manage student projects through constructive criticism, the use of technologies ranging from technical drafting to advanced digital design tools and visualization software. If applying to a non-studio course the applicant must possess and be able to demonstrate expertise in the area of focus.
If an applicant has an area of expertise other than or in addition to a design studio and would like to be considered to teach a three-credit-hour course, the applicant should highlight this interest in a cover letter.

The University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Dental Medicine (SDM) welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time, clinical track faculty (Open Rank) to work in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and the CU School of Dental Medicine. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician-educator with interest in, and commitment to clinical care, teaching, and scholarship. This position reports to the department chair with their primarily location at CHCO.
The Pediatric Dentistry clinics provide routine dental check-ups and complex oral treatments. Faculty focus on providing care for all children, including those with special needs, by creating care plans that include special behavioral requirements as needed for each child. The Department of Pediatric Dentistry faculty dedicate their time exclusively to working with children, teens and young adults with SHCN.

Job Summary:
The CU College of Nursing is seeking a full-time (1.00 FTE) faculty member within the Instructional Faculty Series with expertise in teaching foundational and adult health content. This position will teach across programs and at multiple CU Nursing locations. Potential courses within foundational and adult health content could include, but are not limited to, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Medical-Surgical Nursing. This is an open rank faculty position within the Instructional Faculty Series at the rank of Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor. Faculty rank will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and scholarship. The successful candidate must work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community members from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Faculty are integral to providing a high-quality student experience. This position will interface directly with students. Along with other faculty who teach in the classroom, the role is responsible for providing an engaging experience by maintaining competency in the subject matter being taught, preparing teaching materials in alignment with current best practice guidelines, and serving as a role model to students for professionalism.
Successful candidates will have recent experience teaching in the areas of focus listed above, a track record of excellence in academic teaching, and scholarship experience that supports the ability to teach across programs. Responsibilities may include participation in the teaching, practice, and service mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Colorado. Demonstration of academic leadership, such as curricular/program development, is preferred. For APRN candidates, a portion of the position may be devoted to clinical practice depending on the candidate's experience and expertise.
While the primary focus for these positions resides in the teaching mission of the college, service and scholarship to the university and the college are expected of all faculty members. A successful candidate will help foster a community of belonging and utilize a justice lens to effectively engage with all members of the CU Nursing community, specifically faculty, staff, students, and community partners with diverse identities.
This position may involves didactic and clinical teaching responsibilities. Didactic courses are taught in the classroom, online, or in blended formats. Supervision of clinical courses includes clinical conferences using online conferencing, site visits, and close communication with clinical preceptors.
Examples of Work Performed may include:
Facilitate learning by engaging students in high-level learning activities related to application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of course content.
Remain current with best practices in teaching pedagogy and cognitive learning theories.
Maintain clinical relevancy regarding guidelines and interventions pertinent to patient care. Serve as a role model to teach students how to interact, assess, and make sound clinical decisions.
Contribute to a psychologically safe learning environment, foster the free exchange of constructive feedback, encourage collaborative teamwork, clearly outline expectations, and cultivate a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with teaching team(s) to foster continued quality improvement and shared decision-making regarding course content and assignments, clinical experiences, and/or evaluation methods.
Provide a climate of mutual respect, open communication, and collaboration. Act as a role model for patient-centered care.

Participate in professional development activities that address desired learning outcomes and align with an individual's role and the priorities of the institution.
