Position Summary
The Emergency Services Lab Assistant supports the planning, preparation, maintenance, and safe operation of Emergency Services training labs and scenarios. Working closely with faculty and program leadership, this position ensures that instructional spaces, equipment, and materials are organized, functional, and compliant with safety standards and program objectives. The role contributes directly to high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success in fire service, emergency medical services, and public safety careers.
Primary Responsibilities
1.
Lab Preparation, Maintenance, & Safety
* Prepare, set up, and dismantle training props, materials, and equipment for fire, rescue, and EMS labs.
* Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, apparatus, and facilities to ensure safe and functional operation.
* Test and service oxygen systems, fire-ground props, and other pressurized or specialized training equipment following established safety procedures.
* Maintain inventory, track supplies, and report repair or replacement needs.
* Operate college vehicles and hand or power tools as required for training-site setup and material transport.

Instructional & Program Support
* Provide logistical and technical support to instructors during labs and simulations.
* Orient students to safety procedures and proper equipment use.
* Assist with demonstrations and lab resets between class sessions.
* Support outreach, recruitment, and community-training activities when scheduled.
* Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to coordinate lab operations and ensure readiness.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education - High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience - One (1) year of related experience in emergency services, fire science, or equipment maintenance.

Attention to safety, detail, and accuracy in all lab preparations.

This is a Part-time Classified, 19 hour per week (47.5%) position in the Emergency Services department. Starting compensation is entry level for Group 7 on the 2025-26 Classified Wage Schedule.

We are currently seeking highly qualified, self-motivated interns to accelerate research towards new applications, core methodologies and technologies in Artificial Intelligence at HPE Labs.

The Artificial Intelligence Research Lab focuses on researching and developing technologies, architectures and software to develop cutting edge solutions in key areas of Deep Learning and Machine Learning, including Reinforcement Learning and Natural Language Processing. Position Summary:
The University of Northern Colorado College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNC COM) is seeking applications for a staff position as an Anatomy Lab Manager. The selected candidate will oversee the management and operation of the college's anatomy laboratory spaces, including a virtual anatomy lab. This position reports directly to the Department of the Anatomy Chair of UNC COM.
Under the direction of the Department of Anatomy Chair, the Anatomy Lab Manager is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the anatomy laboratories (both cadaveric dissection and virtual anatomy spaces) are functional, safe, and properly equipped learning environments that meet all accreditation standards. Job Duties:
* Direct the processes of receiving, preparing, storing, maintaining, documenting use, and return of donor bodies and non-human specimens.
* Assist in planning and delivery of end of course memorial services.
* Maintain cleanliness, repair, and organization of anatomy laboratory instruments, equipment, models, and equipment and supply rooms.
* Assist in management of technology dedicated for use in the laboratory.
* Manage set up and "tear down" of the laboratory for all anatomy learning sessions including equipment, models, specimens, consumables, and course materials.
* Inventory laboratory supplies and equipment, track of use, replenishment, storage, and elimination.
* Collaborate with the Anatomy Department Chair to make approved purchases and monitor expenditures.
* Work with biosafety officer to direct the proper storage and elimination of fluids and waste.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Three years of experience in an anatomy laboratory at a university, college or experience in a related area is preferred.
* A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Required Skills/Competencies:
* Ability to communicate effectively with others, in written and oral form, both in person and by alternate electronic means (i.e., email, videoconference, text, phone).

If you work, visit, or volunteer in healthcare facilities or clinics operated by our affiliated hospital or clinical partners or by CU Anschutz, you will be required to comply with the vaccination and medical surveillance policies of the facilities or clinics where you work, visit, or volunteer, respectively. In addition, if you work in certain research areas or perform certain safety sensitive job duties, you must enroll in the occupational health medical surveillance program.
