Job Summary
The Research Program on Cognition and Neuromodulation-based Interventions (RP-CNBI), led by Dr. Benjamin Hampstead is looking for a full-time Research Technician Intermediate or Associate. The program's mission is to provide non- pharmacological treatments for persons with neurologic injury and disease. We focus on methods to assist older adults with a variety of cognitive impairments, using neuropsychological theory, modern neuroimaging methods and a range of non-pharmacological treatments, such as cognitive rehabilitation and brain stimulation. The successful candidate will perform a range of tasks to support multiple research projects. It is expected that you will perform all study-related tasks. Opportunities to assist in the creation of posters, papers, and presentations for scientific meetings may be available. You will handle other scientific administration and clerical activities as directed to support the Research Program, including coordinating with other researchers throughout the health system.
We are seeking a full-time Research Technician who will assist in clinical research and related projects. It is expected that the successful candidate will be trained to administer and score standardized neuropsychological tests to research participants, memory rehabilitation and/or non-invasive bran stimulations. The candidate will handle other scientific administration and clerical duties as directed to support research projects.

Responsibilities*
The position involves recruiting older adult participants with cognitive changes for a variety of non-pharmacological studies. This involves screening using electronic medical records, contacting eligible participants and/or their family over the phone and explaining the study, scheduling visits, following informed consent procedures and conducting participant visits at the Rachel Upjohn Building and the functional MRI laboratory. The candidate will administer, score and record neuropsychological testing and or administer tDCS or TMS. They will also enter data into a secure database, assisting with participant compensation and engage in data management.
Required Qualifications*

* Perform basic tissue processing techniques including fixation, sectioning, and immunofluorescent staining.
* Ensure laboratory equipment meets regulatory standards for maintenance and testing.
* Assist with animal protocol submissions and renewals.
* Support histomorphometric and functional assessments of NMJ structures.
* Assist in data analysis and report preparation.

The Lowry Lab at Michigan State University is searching for a postdoctoral research associate to conduct molecular and physiological experiments to understand the causes of genetic variation in cold acclimation and freezing tolerance in the bioenergy crop switchgrass. This work builds on prior research by our group, which found that locally adapted switchgrass induces cold acclimation at higher temperatures and gains much greater freezing tolerance as a result of acclimation. Kellogg Biological Station, Michigan State University is searching for an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on projects focusing on landscape/conservation genomics of threatened species and genomic architecture of genetic rescue. The Fitzpatrick Lab is interested in the evolutionary and ecological processes that determine adaptation, fitness, and ultimately persistence in small populations. We primarily work on freshwater fish, including the Eastern mosquitofish as a model system, as well as with a diverse set of non-model organisms, including amphibians, butterflies, reptiles, and birds.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist with and lead data collection, analysis, and write manuscripts associated with our project testing 'adapt or die' responses in experimental populations of Eastern mosquitofish. In addition to the funded work (NSF Bridging Ecology & Evolution Program), there will be opportunities to develop related experimental or theoretical projects related to genetic rescue, including the potential to take advantage of previously collected samples and/or datasets.
The position is based at MSU's Kellogg Biological Station, located in Hickory Corners, MI ~65 miles from the main campus. KBS is home to 14 resident faculty and their graduate students and post-doctoral researchers, with interests focusing on ecology, evolution, and conservation, as well as full-time research staff, visiting research scientists, and many summer undergraduates. KBS is home to the KBS Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) program (********************** the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC), and a Molecular Ecology and Genomics Laboratory. We are seeking a commitment from a motivated individual who enjoys collaborative translational science and desires to contribute to research in a team-based environment.
This position involves processing clinical samples, maintaining our biorepository of samples, submitting samples for single cell sequencing, performing techniques such as flow cytometry, cell cultures and in vitro immunological assays.
Specific duties include the following:
* Work collaboratively with other members of the group including our patient recruitment coordinator and mentor junior members such as students.
* Train new laboratory personnel, students, and collaborators.

This posting is for a remote position as a Research Area Specialist Intermediate who will work alongside the Principal Investigator in the Department of Family Medicine and a team of investigators across U-M and another institution to oversee a federally-funded R01 that will develop an online maternal health toolkit. The Research Area Specialist Intermediate will support study-related activities and help oversee project staff and milestones. The Principal Investigator and supervisor for this position in Dr. Kimberly McKee, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine.
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week, and is term-limited based on available grant funding through 08/2027, with potential for extension based on funding availability.
Responsibilities*
* Develop protocols and procedures for study tasks, in collaboration with the research team.
* Be responsible for IRB submissions, amendments, renewals, ORIOs, etc. and for regulatory compliance for the project.
* Communicate with research team members and community advisory group for the project and coordinate study logistics and site meetings
* Assist the principal investigator with compliance and reporting to funding and regulatory agencies (e.g., NIH, IRB), including but not limited to drafting Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs) and protocols.
* Supervise the research assistants on the study and assist Dr. McKee with performance evaluations and professional development of research staff
* Coordinate, schedule, and document study-related meetings, including meetings with the internal study team, collaborators, co-investigators, and community-based partners.
* Coordination of full-team meetings with Dr. McKee's research team
* Engage and network with key maternal health stakeholders - including community advisory member organizations, colleagues in the Department of Family Medicine, and colleagues in other departments and institutions throughout the project period.

This position is located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Stroke is a major cause of disability. We are recruiting research coordinators to help with a NIH-funded stroke research study. The objective of the study is to evaluate the association between sleep disorders and problems with cognition after stroke (e.g. problems with thinking and memory). The study is being performed jointly with another NIH-funded stroke research study.
