Position Summary Columbia School of Social Work (CSSW) and the District of New Jersey's Newark Reentry Court (ReNew) are collaborating on a study incorporating social work practice into its problem-solving courts, including its Pretrial Opportunity Program ("POP") and its three reentry courts ("ReNew"). POP is an interdisciplinary initiative that serves people post-conviction, pre-sentencing who have addiction-driven criminal histories and who are engaged in treatment. ReNew is an interdisciplinary initiative that seeks to address the gap in services available for recently released individuals from the federal system with the highest risk of reoffending. POSITION IS 100% GRANT-FUNDED. CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS CONTIGENT ON FUNDING AVAILABILITY.
