Position Summary The School of Nursing is looking to hire a full-time Research Associate to serve as an interviewer and recruiter on two of Dr. Walter Bockting's NIH-funded studies focused on: 1) the role of social connectedness in the health and longevity of sexual and racial/ethnic minorities, and 2) the health-related quality of life and wellbeing for individuals managing chronic conditions after genital reconstructive surgery. Specifically, the incumbent will be tasked with supporting participant recruitment (in-person and online) throughout New York City, scheduling study visits, conducting qualitative and quantitative interviews, facilitating the provision of saliva samples, and conducting qualitative analysis of interview transcripts. The incumbent will also be asked to assist with protocol and instrument development, and dissemination to scientific audiences and community stakeholders. Reporting to the Co-Executive Director and Chief Research Officer and the lead Principal Investigator on an Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) award to evaluate restorative practices pilot programs to address domestic and sexual violence and working in collaboration with the research and evaluation team, CVR is seeking a Director of Operations, Research and Evaluation to lead the strategic planning, design, implementation, oversight, and management of research and evaluation activities. The role includes developing and implementing innovative research and evaluation methodologies, managing interdisciplinary efforts, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis, and translating findings into actionable insights to inform policy and practice.
