Provides high quality, short-term, evidence-based clinical, therapeutic, and consultative services via telehealth to prevent, assess, evaluate, and treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in child and adolescent patients and their family members in TCHATT (Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine). TCHATT is an initiative of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC), created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address child and adolescent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in the state of Texas.
Has excellent communication and rapport building skills and provides outstanding patient care. Works on a multidisciplinary team and can also work independently, with strong computer skills and attention to accuracy and detail. Has a strong interest in learning and professional development opportunities. Will receive an annual stipend for continued education. Clinical supervision expenses are covered by department.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm. Currently hiring for more than one position and some positions may have a future possibility of occasional evening and weekend hours based on clinical needs.
Job Duties:
Provides individual, couples, and/or family therapy to improve mental health, resiliency, and coping skills.
Performs counseling, evaluation, treatment, and plan, using evidence-based practices.
Creates individualized treatment plans according to each patient's unique needs and circumstances. Will review the progress towards goals and adjust treatment plan as agreed upon by the patient.
Assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
Completes documentation and safety plans according to program policies and prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
Connects families and caregivers to institute and community resources need to improve quality of life.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and participates in case consultation to provide comprehensive care, and coordinates with family members as needed to engage patient in care.
Identifies obstacles to optimal patient care, risk reduction, and health promotion.
Performs crisis interventions as needed.
Develops innovative support and community engagement programs for caregivers and patients to promote mental health and encourages involvement in programs.
Facilitates or leads therapeutic and support groups for patients and caregivers.
Formulates candid and supportive communication.
Facilitates effective problem solving and conflict resolution.
Participates in program evaluation activities including, but not limited to data collection for grants, grant reporting, patient satisfaction surveys, and other activities as needed.
Performs administrative duties and outreach as assigned.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
A Master's degree in Psychology or a related degree is required. Experience cannot be substituted for a degree.
Experience:
Two (2) years of Counseling, Social Work, or related experience is required.
Additional Licenses and Certifications:

The University of Texas, Dell Medical School (DMS), is a Health Research Institute (HRI) for the Texas Children's Mental Health Care Consortium. The program and projects of the Dell Medical School, HRI work to address the clinical needs of the programs which address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in Texas for children and adolescents.
Purpose
This position will provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and family members through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program at Dell Medical School. The therapist will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, ability work independently with a strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skill, and will possess a commitment to professional ethical and practice standards. TCHATT provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provide access to mental health services.
Responsibilities
* Evaluates and provides diagnostic impressions. Formulates treatment plan according to evidence based practices and protocol. Conducts individual, family and group therapy sessions as needed. Monitors patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensures patient safety if necessary. Undertakes crisis intervention, as needed.
* Participates in any supervision, feedback, and quality assurance checks. Maintains client records and performs data entry as required by protocol.
* Coordinates with referring practitioners, individuals, and family members throughout the treatment. Collaborates with project coordinators and administrative assistants to coordinate patient visits.
* Attends appropriate training workshops, interdisciplinary meetings and client staffing as required.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, or equivalent practiced clinician in the State of Texas. Three (3) years of post-licensure counseling, or related clinical experience is required. Experience working with children, adolescents, and family systems. Strong technology skills, including the ability to perform computer tasks and use the electronic health record systems independently. Ability to work remotely. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients. Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethical and practice standards. The College of Public Service Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work is looking for student assistants to work with its newly funded voting and civic engagement initiative, YOUth em POWERed. Detection of severe mental illness in all inmate interaction

Primary Purpose:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Must demonstrate reliable and regular attendance.
Provide observation and student discipline assistance during the transport of Special Needs students.
Establish and maintain a good relationship with students, parents, school personnel and co-workers.

Work as a partner with the driver or substitute to insure safe transit to the students of Katy ISD.
Must report any driver infractions to the assigned Lead Driver, Driver Manager or Assistant Director as soon as possible.
Read and follow established procedures and guidelines in the Katy ISD Auxiliary, Transportation and Special Needs handbooks.
SHARS/Medicaid - related duties may be required.
