UT Urgent Care Clinic has provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care is seeking an experienced, well-qualified medicalassistant float for our Northshore location, who must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:
Job Description:
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during visit, by demonstrating sensitivity to patients' comfort and privacy.
Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: applying splints and wound dressings, collecting and recording various laboratory tests, administering oral and injectable medication.
Obtain and record demographic, insurance and financial information
Collect co-pay, co-insurances and past due balances
Verify insurance eligibility and ability to relay relevant information on payment policies.
Position Highlights:
Flexible Schedule: 40-hour work week scheduled between 4, 10-hour shifts per week.
Clinic Hours: 12-hour weekday shift, 9AM-9PM/9-hour weekend shift, 9AM-6PM
Shift Differential: Up to $2.00 per hour

Position: Full-time, 8:00am -4:30pm Monday-Friday Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to: assisting physicians with patient care, scheduling, communicating test results, phlebotomy, and various other tasks. This position also requires the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients and their families while conveying a positive image of the practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include any and or all of the following: Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.
* Assist in patient needs over the phone
* Instructs and educate patients on procedure preparation
* Does prescription refills
* Review medical records for urgent request and special needs.
* Supports the office clinic as needed, to include rooming patients and gathering patient information for chart documentation.
* Call medical facility/department to schedule patient for tests.
* Provide patient education as instructed for procedure preparation.
* Triage in-bound clinical care calls, assesses patient concerns and responds according to the clinical care protocols.
* Document and utilize the electronic medical record according to HIPAA guidelines.
* Follow all practice policies and procedures for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, telephone interactions, and other job responsibilities as established.
* Provide back up support to clinical services as assigned.

* Experience with assisting patient needs

(LPN) candidate for HIGH-RISK OB CONSULTANTS, a fast paced, high-risk obstetrical practice in Knoxville.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide complete patient assessment, including vital signs, review of medications and patient history.
Prepare paper charts for both new and established patient visits by reviewing referring provider medical records and/or previous office notes.
Provide explanation to patients to ensure an understanding of plan of care.
Triage patient phone calls.
Scheduling deliveries.
Calling in prescriptions.
Referrals to other specialists.
Assist both Doctors and Nurse Practitioners with in-office procedures.
Appropriate documentation of data and assessments in the patient's paper chart.
Filing of medical charts.
Effective communication with providers, other team members, and patients.
Adherence to all policies and procedures including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Obtaining prior authorizations and/or pre-certifications.
Blood draws.
Monitoring and ordering of medical supplies.
Must have a high level of professionalism, an attention to detail and strong patient service skills.
Ability to complete non-stress tests.
