Full time/ Part time/ PRN
The MedicalAssistant/LPN is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in the clinic setting under the supervision of a Physician, Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner. The MA/LPN is also expected to ethically perform assigned job duties in a manner that is consistent with the Core Values of Urgent Care South listed below:

Responsibilities:
Set up and sanitize of exam rooms
Complete basic routine medical procedures
Provide consistent exceptional service
Obtain/Update/Amend patient health history, including current medications, allergies, and recent surgeries.
Obtain and document vital signs, height, and weight in the chart.
Administer PO, IM, subcutaneous and intravesical medications.
- Phlebotomy, EKG, Minor wound care.
Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Work a rotating schedule including some weekends.

Assists in providing care and performing office functions.

Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by licensed nurse or physician(s).

Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Completion of an accredited program that meets nationally accepted standards-certificate or degree in MedicalAssisting or Medical Office Management.
BLS certification
If employee's practice has issued AED, the employee is required to obtain and maintain current BLS certification.
Must either have six months of experience as a MedicalAssistant, OR, have graduated from an accredited MA or Medical Office Management program that meets nationally accepted standards.
Within one year from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment and retention of CCMA, CMA (AAMA) or NCMA certification or RMA plus documented completion of a MedicalAssisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning.
Skills/Others
Previous experience in a medical environment preferred
Office practice knowledge required to include examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, common safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
Patient, courteous and tactful

Position: Lab Assistant
Job Summary: The Lab Assistant is responsible for collecting urine samples, ensuring the integrity and security of each sample, and adhering to strict protocols and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows processes to ensure schedules are complete, collection information is sent to the treatment team and all orders are updated in the client chart to accurately reflect completion.
Maintains HIPAA compliance, managing sensitive information appropriately and maintaining the dignity and privacy of the clients.
Utilizes the Laboratory Information System to access and receive samples as well as access client reports.
Accesses the client electronic medical record to enter lab results into the client chart.
Alerts clinical and medical staff to abnormal lab results according to policy.
Enters billing data into the client chart according to policy.

This includes collaborating with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.

Training Schedule:
* During the 7-week training period, new hires will be required to travel to Columbus for at least 15 days of hands-on, on-the-job training. These 15 days will be spread out over the 7 weeks and are not consecutive. For example, Week 1 may have no travel, Week 2 may require 1 day, Week 3 could require 2 days, Week 4 may require 3 days, Week 5 could require 2 days, Week 6 may require 3 days, and Week 7 might involve 5 days of travel. Please note, this is an example and the actual number of days may vary.
* Hotel accommodations may be provided in Columbus for the required days, if necessary.
* If hotel accommodations are not needed, new hires will be reimbursed for mileage to and from Columbus for the scheduled training days.
Standard Schedule (Newark, Ohio):
* Shift Details: 4 x 10 hour shifts; two consecutive days off
* To best meet the needs of our donors and community, staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance
Pay Information:
* Starting rate: $19.89/hour
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
* Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
* Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required.
* Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required.
* Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.

Job Details Physician Office | Kettering | Full-Time | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the physician, APP and registered nurse:
Assists in providing care and performing office functions.
Give instructions to patients as instructed by doctor/nurse.
Takes blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration.
Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by the nurse or physician(s).
Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by licensed nurse or physician(s).
Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of physician(s) and nurse and for which training has been given.
Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms.
Follows principles of medical ethics for medicalassistant.
Keep rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
May be requested to substitute for other office personnel and conduct responsibilities of receptionist/front desk.
Any other assigned duties by physician(s), nurses or manager.
Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Completion of an accredited program that meets nationally accepted standards-certificate or degree in MedicalAssisting or Medical Office Management.
BLS certification
If employee's practice has issued AED, the employee is required to obtain and maintain current BLS certification.
Must either have six months of experience as a MedicalAssistant, OR, have graduated from an accredited MA or Medical Office Management program that meets nationally accepted standards.
Within one year from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment and retention of CCMA, CMA (AAMA) or NCMA certification or RMA plus documented completion of a MedicalAssisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning.
Skills/Others
Previous experience in a medical environment preferred
Office practice knowledge required to include examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, common safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
Patient, courteous and tactful
Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments and the public
Ability to follow direction, accept orders and perform repetitive tasks
Computer literate word processing, email, experience in electronic medical records preferred
Perform patient screening using established protocols
