Weekly pay every Friday. JOB SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is to perform all required janitorial activities as assigned. Janitorial Cleaners, Day Porters, Disinfectors and Floor Technicians work together as a team to provide great service and customer experience. Day Porters play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our clients. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and accept dispatched service requests. Ask clarifying questions to ensure a thorough understanding of the request. Complete the request. Label the request as 'completed' in the system. Operate fork lift to relocate trash/recycle and also load the recycle truck RESTROOMS: Stock male and/or female restrooms as assigned. Wipe down and clean mirrors as needed. Wipe sinks, fixtures, and counters as needed. Clean inside and exterior of urinals and toilets as needed. Leave toilet seats in an upright position to show cleanliness after completion. Clean all spills and wet spots found. Post a wet floor sign to illustrate a potential slip hazard. Remove sign once floor has dried. Dust inside of entire restroom including light fixtures, ledges, vents, exhaust, tops of partitions, dispensers, and baseboards as needed. ELEVATOR LOBBIES: Check and reset elevator lobbies on each floor. Wipe and clean horizontal surfaces, removing any visible marks or debris. Wipe and clean touchpoints, reset chairs and furniture. Spot sweep carpets where debris is visible. Remove all trash. ELEVATORS: Monitor the elevators for debris or unclean marks. Clear debris on the floor. Use a broom, dustpan or non-powered sweeper. Clean the corners and edges where the wall meets the floor as needed. Clean marks on the buttons or walls and wipe with a damp cloth, as needed. Clean stainless steel of spots or fingerprints with a damp cloth as needed. MAINTENANCE: Report any maintenance issues to the manager and notify senior leaders of any severe issues immediately. Report maintenance emergencies to senior NSG leaders and the Security Command Center immediately. (examples: floods, fires, hazards, etc.) QUALIFICATIONS Ability to use company phone for dispatched requests. Must know how to use common cleaning implements such as mops, brooms, dust pans, cleaning supplies. Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning solutions. Detail-oriented and thorough. Ability to work during the specified hours. Effective verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with employees, customers, visitors, vendors, clients while remaining professional, polite, and courteous. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to endure 8 hours of continuous work. Physical requirements include standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Keep the janitorial cart close throughout the shift. Keep the work phone fully charged for good communication. Pick up keys and phone at the beginning of shift from the NSG suite on the 24th floor.
