The primary duties of the Van Driver are to transports guests about the premises or local areas in scheduled van runs. Assist with check in/outs as needed. Reporting to the Front Desk Manager the following is required:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to work PM (nights), weekends and holidays.
Must have a valid driver license and pass BMV driver Background Check.
Excellent customer services skills and greet guests' with a pleasant demeanor.
Open the cab door for arriving and departing guests.
Drive the shuttle van on assigned and scheduled runs.
Monitor the upkeep, service maintenance and cleanliness of shuttle van.
Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
Uniform and Name Tag must be worn at all times. Maintain high standards of grooming and personal appearance.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Summary of Job Duties: Responsible for transporting older adults to and from the day center and their residence, to outside appointments and activities, delivering medical equipment, etc, as requested by the Transportation Supervisor. DAILY PAY AVAILABLE!
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:
Previous transportation experience including experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs
Prior experience in the geriatric field helpful
Five years of driving experience required
Required Certifications/Licensure:
Valid PA Driver's License with a clean driving record
Must be able to pass DOT physical
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Knowledge of the area roads in the area.
Ability to read a road map.
Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with participants and other staff.
Good interpersonal skills
Be mentally alert and have the ability to effectively plan and organize assignments in the most efficient manner.
Must be flexible, adaptable and able to function in stressful situations.
Please Note: Candidates must be able to pass a DOT physical. In addition, Community LIFE will randomly drug and alcohol-test employees in Van Driver and Escort positions for compliance with its drug and alcohol-free workplace policy on a quarterly basis.

What you will be doing as a MedSpeed Medical Driver:
Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials
Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle
Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction
Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment
Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle
Route duties vary based on client and business needs, and LSRs must be able to perform all duties across all routes they may be assigned. Route assignments may change from time to time.

What you need to become a MedSpeed Medical Driver:
