Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We are seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector for our
Dallas, Oregon
location. This is a critical position within the company and presents a great opportunity for someone to provide final assurance to all our valued customers that the precision machined parts they are being provided are of the highest level of quality possible.
This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon location and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.
Requirements:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To include but not limited to the following:
Receiving, In-process and Final inspections
Primary operator for the dedicated metrology equipment - CMM, Optical comparator etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Ability to read, understand, and interpret internal and customer provided mechanical prints including GD&T
Basic experience with a wide variety of metrology equipment including CMM, Optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
Visual Product Inspections - Surface Cosmetics of Plated/Painted and bare material parts
Experience with operating manual and/or automated CMM a plus
Generate Clear and concise Non-conformance Reports
Able to work overtime
Preference will be given to candidates with prior machinist experience

Functions
* Daily routine is to inspect parts and material, according to the drawing specification and inspection requirement.

* Ensure the inspection sampling process and inspection records are complete and compliant to the procedures.
* Create NCM when nonconformance is identified.
* Perform containment action and provide inspection support per MRB requests.

+ Make decision to reject or accept fresh produce at receiving and ensure appropriate processes are followed that are consistent with PACA laws when a rejection is necessary Make decision to withdraw produce from inventory that does not meet the specifications set by US Foods
+ Work directly in conjunction with warehouse management to identify and address food safety concerns. Maintain records of inspections
+ Collaborate with replenishment lead on dumps, damages and produce re-work decisions
+ Communicate daily with the replenishment lead and warehouse manager on all issues related to fresh produce. Make recommendations on dump and damage or repackaging
+ Verify Purchase Order quantities and inspect quality for all inbound perishable loads
+ Inspect all inbound trucks for signs of pest and rodents before unloading
+ Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce. Identify any issues to warehouse management
+ Document temperatures of all inbound loads and report to warehouse manager and replenishment lead any violations
+ Responsible for checking for proper rotation of all produce inventory and perform daily quality inspections for all fresh produce items in inventory
+ Perform daily date checks and pull all outdated fresh produce from pick and reserve slots
+ Complete daily dump and damage report and give to warehouse supervisor or inventory control

Make decision to withdraw produce from inventory that does not meet the specifications set by US Foods
Work directly in conjunction with warehouse management to identify and address food safety concerns. Maintain records of inspections
Collaborate with replenishment lead on dumps, damages and produce re-work decisions
Communicate daily with the replenishment lead and warehouse manager on all issues related to fresh produce. Make recommendations on dump and damage or repackaging
Verify Purchase Order quantities and inspect quality for all inbound perishable loads
Inspect all inbound trucks for signs of pest and rodents before unloading
Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce. Identify any issues to warehouse management
Document temperatures of all inbound loads and report to warehouse manager and replenishment lead any violations
Responsible for checking for proper rotation of all produce inventory and perform daily quality inspections for all fresh produce items in inventory
Perform daily date checks and pull all outdated fresh produce from pick and reserve slots
Complete daily dump and damage report and give to warehouse supervisor or inventory control
Other duties as assigned.
