Kennel Attendants are responsible for the day-to-day care of pets in our boarding facility. This includes feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing and monitoring the well-being of dogs, cats and, occasionally, other companion animals. Kennel Attendants must have sufficient physical strength, mobility and stamina to lift and or move heavy pets and objects, the dexterity and confidence to administer medications, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease. It is essential that they have the willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for pets in the boarding facility. Kennel experience is not always a prerequisite for this position.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Serve as a champion for quality by communicating, demonstrating and driving a culture of quality and safety at the hospital level to optimize medical care, client experience, associate engagement and hospital performance.
Perform regular hospital visits and quality audits to ensure hospital compliance with industry, regulatory and Banfield quality standards while building associate veterinarian engagement.
Develop, coach, and manage associate veterinarians on the technical and functional skills needed to be successful in their role and deliver outstanding, high quality medical care that aligns with our six domains of quality and supports the business by delivering on hospital performance expectations.
In partnership with the Director of Veterinary Quality (DVQ), drive a successful and growing doctor team through recruiting, gathering referrals, assisting with interviews, and leading onboarding and training of new associate and locum veterinarians in their hospitals.
Develop associate and lead veterinarians to coach new hires and deliver an exceptional onboarding and mentorship experience.
Deliver on veterinary quality KPIs to support the hospital, market and practice OGSMs.
Perform clinical skill and leadership competency development of associate and lead veterinarians to deliver high quality medical care and outstanding client service.
In partnership with the Regional P&O Co-Pilot (POCP) and the DVQ, identify and develop future veterinary talent for leadership roles within the practice.
Drive doctor engagement and retention efforts in partnership with DVQ, POCP and operations by implementing strategies to reduce turnover risk and provide consistent support at the hospital level. Support the engagement and retention of certified veterinary technicians (CVTs).
Responsible for medical equipment inventory and functionality in assigned hospitals and manage requests for additional medical equipment in partnership with the DVQ and Regional Vice President of Veterinary Quality (VPVQ).
Partner with the Practice Manager (PM) to manage medical equipment maintenance and calibration in accordance with practice and equipment supplier standards.
Actively participate in local, state, and national veterinary organizations to cultivate relationships within the veterinary profession (i.e. regulatory boards, vendors, associations, and referral hospitals) to promote Banfield's brand reputation.
Ensure hospital operations meet all local, state and federal regulatory requirements including but not limited to compliance with controlled substance management and radiation safety.

Client Service Coordinator SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team (in terms of numbers of clients and pets), ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families. Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments. Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures. Conduct administrative functions as necessary. Other job duties as assigned. SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets, and to ensure this is provided in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
· Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical item and supplies (e.g. vaccinations, fecal loops, slides, etc.) for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician. Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position. Provide Client Education regarding preventive care, Optimum Wellness Plans, and basic status of hospitalized pets. Serve as support to the Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed basis.
· Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
· Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests (e.g. canine heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, and canine parvovirus) as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients. Ensure the comfort of hospitalized patients by "walking", exercising, feeding, and cleaning cages and pet (when approved by the veterinarian or veterinary technician).
· Bathe and dip pets when necessary to treat dermatological conditions (when advised by veterinarian or veterinary technician.
· Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
· Ensure cleanliness of the hospital including but not limited to housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, mopping, cage cleaning, trash collection and removal and instrument cleaning as outlined by hospital protocols.

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team (in terms of numbers of clients and pets), ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team. Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support the needs of our wellness plan clients.
Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, ensuring that they are comfortable in the hospital, and educating them about their pet's health.
Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service.
Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.
Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
