The ProductionManager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage assigned production teams, including Supervisors, Leads, and skilled trades, to achieve production goals.
Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to fabrication plans, schedules, and quality requirements.
Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to align resources with production priorities and deadlines.
Provide active feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact.
Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents.
Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned projects and areas.
Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Requirements
Proven leadership skills with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication, with a strong understanding of throughput and efficiency optimization.
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a steel fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
Must wear required PPE at all times.
Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs as needed.

Position Summary
The ProductionManager - Concrete oversees day-to-day production across multiple job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role blends strong field leadership with operational coordination, technology use, and clear communication between crews, project managers, and leadership. In addition to a traditional field superintendent, this position places a strong emphasis on documentation, reporting, scheduling coordination, and proactive communication while maintaining hands-on knowledge of concrete operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee production across multiple concrete job sites and crews
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and sequencing in partnership with Project Managers
Monitor schedules, productivity, and quality standards across all active projects
Serve as the primary communication bridge between field teams, PMs, and leadership
Review and submit daily reports, production tracking, and field documentation using company systems
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, safety compliance, and crew performance
Identify and resolve production issues that may impact schedule, cost, or quality
Support implementation and adoption of field technology and reporting tools
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Promote and enforce company safety policies across all job sites
Mentor foremen and superintendents, supporting consistency and accountability in the field
Qualifications
5-8+ years of experience in concrete construction or related field operations
Experience overseeing multiple crews or job sites preferred
Strong understanding of concrete methods, sequencing, and equipment
Comfortable using construction technology (daily reports, scheduling tools, field software)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and job specifications
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
OSHA 30 preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
