Our family practice clinic setting allows for a Clinic Registered Nurse to have a more predictable routine, form long-term relationships with patients, and provide a more individualized type of care. This produces positive patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. Our Clinic Registered Nurses are also cross trained to assist with various laboratory procedures.

This Clinic Registered Nurse position is based primarily at Hirsch Clinic in Viroqua with some travel to other various VMH clinic locations as needed. Hours for this full time Clinic Registered Nurse position are 4 days per week, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, with a Saturday morning rotation. WI Registered Nurse license required. Join a team of remarkable nurses that use advanced critical thinking skills, compassion, and teamwork to care for medical and surgical patients. Be involved in cutting edge, evidence-based therapies to improve patient outcomes.
Work on a 28-bed unit that incorporates safe nurse-to-patient staffing ratios to accommodate the complex patient populations cared for here. The unit follows a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio.
Provide care to patients suffering from a variety of acute illnesses, including exacerbations of chronic diseases, DKA, pneumonia, infection, as well as short stay surgical cases with an expected length of stay of 24-48 hours. Patients cared for post-surgery on this unit come from a variety of services including plastics, urology, ENT, emergency general surgery, interventional radiology, gynecology, and neurosurgery service.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
Use advanced assessment skills and become an expert Med/Surg RN. As a nurse on this unit, you are supported to pursue specialty certification in Medical-Surgical Care Nursing.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:
Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.

Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience Required
3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience
Licenses & Certifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
