**Job Summary and Responsibilities** Provides professional nursing care to patients with alterations in skin/tissue integrity (e.g. pressure, vascular, arterial and diabetic ulcerations, as well as skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures and/or trauma).
Manages/coordinates patient case/wound management needs including identification, assessment, prevention, and continuing education to achieve the best healing outcomes in an outpatient environment. Work includes intake/discharge planning activities, initiating/monitoring the quality management program, timely and accurate completion of patient and billing documentation, and coordinating interdisciplinary teams that include healthcare practitioners, rehabilitation therapists, social workers, and other healthcare disciplines or providers depending upon individual patient assessments.
Must be able to perform all physical job duties accurately in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
**Essential Duties:**
Delivers and coordinates care to patients with alterations in skin/tissue integrity within the scope of practice and under the direction of physician or other clinician.
Manages and coordinates patient case/wound management in accordance with established standards, strictly defined timelines, and overall plan of care.
Completes all required documentation in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner in accordance with FHS standards and procedures.
Initiates and monitors the Quality Management program for the Wound Care Center.

Minimum two years of related work experience working with an interdisciplinary clinical team in one or more of the following clinical areas: Med/Surg, Gerontology, Home Health, or Wound Care that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
Current Washington State RegisteredNurse licensure required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required.
Current professional certification (e.g. WCC, CWON, CWS or equivalent) is preferred.

This position is (4) 10 hour shifts per week 40 hours per week. This position requires 3 on-call shifts per month and may include working some weekends.
With 27 surgical suites, we perform over 15,000 surgeries per year in a variety of service lines which allow our nurses a great variety of cases. We are proud to be designated a Center of Excellence for total joints, complex spine surgeries as well as solid organ transplants. **Job Summary and Responsibilities** The Nurse in the Medical Telemetry unit is located on the 7th floor of St. Michael Medical Center. This unit has 32 private rooms and is a telemetry capable medical surgical unit. Our unit consists of medical patients requiring non-acute cardiac telemetry monitoring and general surgical overflow. The patient to nurse ratio is set to match staff requirements to meet the care needs of patients. All nursing staff maintain competency through continuing education, department in-services, and annual updates of unit specific competencies.
