Set-up and operate CNC machines to produce custom tooling/parts using various materials, ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and replace any tool heads as needed.
Load raw materials into CNC machine to produce parts.
Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
Monitor machine operation to detect any problems or errors, make recommendations.

This position works closely with engineering, estimating, and production teams to provide support, ensuring manufacturability and production feasibility of complex components. The CNC Machinist plays a key role in both new product launches and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on high-feed machining technologies, cost savings, and process stability.
Responsibilities:
· Program CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers using Mastercam for both 2D and 3D toolpaths; create and post programs to machines.
· Review customer TPD drawings or blueprints to identify material type, grade, and thickness; interpret GD&T and machining tolerances.
· Write basic CNC programs directly at the machine using the HMI interface when needed.
· Develop setup instructions and maintain a Mastercam cutting tool library tailored to job requirements.
· Select and manage high-speed cutting tools, determining optimal speeds and feeds based on material; coordinate with tooling vendors to optimize machining throughput.
· Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual equipment (e.g., Bridgeport-style mills) for both production and engineering support.
· Assemble machined components using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools as required.
· Inspect and validate part dimensions using precision measuring tools.
· Secure first-piece approvals from Quality Control before releasing production runs.
· Manage the daily workflow of CNC machining, including prioritization based on machine availability and manpower needs.
· Perform daily preventative maintenance and monitor coolant concentrations on all VMCs.
· Submit maintenance tickets and coordinate equipment service or repairs with the Maintenance Department.
· Support estimating with process development and tooling cost inputs.

Details about the role:

Work type: On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.

The Senior Boring Mill Machinist plays a critical role in the durable goods manufacturing process by operating and maintaining boring mill machinery to produce precision components. What You Will Do
Ability to Operate different types of computerized numerical controls to manufacture a finished machined product by performing a wide range of machining operations.
Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings to accurately manufacture parts with minimum direction while maintaining tight tolerances.

The Machinist is responsible to set up and operate manual and automated machines for building jigs, fixtures, and tooling used in metal part manufacturing. Additional Details about the role:
Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
Work type & Expected hours of work: Regularly works on-site at local Paslin location, either Hoover, 10-Mile or Cherry Creek. Must be flexible to work at any of these three locations as needed for an extended period of time. Typical work schedule for this role is 6am-230pm, Monday to Friday. During critical phases of the project, work hours may flex up to 12 hours per day. This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs. Will use hands and vision to operate power and manual tools and HMI interfaces. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
Travel: This position requires flexibility to report to multiple Paslin sites. During an installation project this role will require overnight travel to customer sites for periods of up to 12 days at a time over a period of multiple consecutive months. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to sites in USA, Canada and Mexico.
Candidate Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in a machine tool shop
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Knowledge of welding and machining techniques
Familiar with the set up and operation of lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, boring mills, saws, drills, and other fabrication machinery.
Candidates should be able to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, and have strong knowledge of mechanical principles, mathematics, and machining procedures.
Experience with care and maintenance of industrial machine tools and proficiency in operating various fabrication machinery is required.
