About the role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Automotive Build Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll be integral to the prototyping, assembly, and development of cutting-edge automotive systems and vehicles. You'll work closely with engineers and fellow technicians to bring high-performance concepts and pre-production builds to life.
What you'll do
Assemble prototype and low-volume production vehicles according to engineering specifications
Install and test mechanical, electrical, and structural components
Troubleshoot issues across chassis, powertrain, electrical, and body systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to support design iterations and modifications
Operate diagnostic and calibration tools to validate system performance
Maintain clear documentation and contribute to build process improvements
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all stages of build
Qualifications
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Familiarity with vehicle subsystems including suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and electrical systems
Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and CAD prints
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
[Optional:] Automotive Technician Certification (e.g., ASE)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with electric vehicles or advanced mobility platforms
TIG/MIG welding and fabrication skills welcomed
Knowledge of CAN bus systems and diagnostic software
Familiarity with vehicle telemetry systems or data acquisition tools
Team Structure
Individual contributor; collaborate with other teams and individuals, as necessary

POSITION SCOPE/SUMMARY:
An Assembler is responsible for performing secondary operation or assembly of finished devices as part of a team or as the assembly operator. The Assembler I position is responsible for producing product that meets customer quality and on time requirements while keeping costs from time and material at or below the standard. The position has responsibility for following and ensuring that direct report knowledge of all tasks performed by Assembly.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must comply with the company's quality system, GMP, SOP and follow Work Instructions and all safety policies.
Must be able to meet all company documentation requirements.
Requisition parts from materials via pick list generated in IQMS.
Request set-up as required from Assembly.
Inspect components prior to assembly to verify that product is acceptable prior to performing any additional operation.
Set up work area.
Submit product to Quality Assurance for First Article inspection.
Perform all assembly tasks at or below time standards on BOM.
Complete POW's count parts either by hand or weigh count, generate labels, and move parts to outside packing area.
Complete Close-Out Line Clearance form and submit to Supervisor or Lead along with scrap reports and requests to return to stock.
Must be able to use IQMS, Real Time Inventory.
Meets regularly with the Shift Supervisor or Lead to ensure communications within the shifts.
Complies with all company safety and housekeeping policies, rules and regulation.
Complies with all departmental policies, procedures and work instructions relevant to a particular assignment.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
Willing to work any other assigned duties including operator jobs as instructed by Supervisor or Lead.
Must be willing to train other employees.
Must relief for breaks and lunches as needed.

We currently have an immediate opening for an Electrical Assembler located in City of Industry, California. This position is temporary with the opportunity for permanent employment.
Job Summary:
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling the electrical components of Astrophysics x-ray machines according to technical drawings and assembly instructions. This role involves precise handling of parts, use of hand tools, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Assemblers work as part of a team, each completing specific tasks to meet production goals.
Essential Functions:
* Assemble electrical components using technical drawings and instructions
* Dismantle, adjust, and assemble equipment according to plans, manuals, or drawings
* Use hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers) to complete assembly tasks
* Align, fit, and secure components to meet exact specifications
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production targets are met
* Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
* Continuously looks for ways to improve work processes and individual knowledge and skills
Education and Experience:
* 6 months to 1 year experience in electrical assembly; or
* Associate's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field
* Strong wiring and mechanical skills preferred
* Experience with wire harnesses and soldering is a plus
Shift and Schedule:
* Full-time, M-F, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed to support business operations
