The WW Equipment Engineering Innovation team is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineer to lead the initiative of developing and delivering current and next generation equipment for our world-class delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazon's growth to drive end to end equipment development, work with vendor across the world to increase vendor's design and manufacturing capability and drive internal and external equipment quality control mechanisms. We are looking for a hands-on leader with experience in any of the following areas; Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Manufacturing/Mechanical Plant Engineering, First Article Inspection (FAIR). In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our last mile delivery systems. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on the medium and long term, incremental and radical innovation of process infrastructure, equipment and standards for launch and legacy delivery stations. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects; you will grow. Key job responsibilities - Act as the WW technical expert for equipment development.
