**Job Summary**
The Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is seeking a highly motivated, full-time **Psychological/Mental Health Technician** to join our team in support of our government customer, U.S. Special Operations Command. This position will play a critical role in advancing the Preservation of the Forces and Family (POTFF) program, which is dedicated to optimizing and sustaining the mission readiness, longevity, and performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF). Through integrated and holistic human performance initiatives, POTFF strengthens both the Forces and their families, ensuring comprehensive support for those who serve. As a Psychological/Mental Health Technician, you will contribute to impactful research and analytics that drive evidence-based decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of these vital programs. This position supports outpatient behavioral health activities by conducting intake interviews, assisting with patient care, and leading therapeutic sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals. The Psychological/Mental Health Technician will require performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks, including data collection, report preparation, and coordination of meetings, while also maintaining records, managing supplies, and providing information to staff and families. This role requires independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to resolve non-recurring problems, ensuring efficient program operations and high-quality patient care.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist with the management and treatment of outpatient behavioral health activities
+ Under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist, social worker, psychiatric nurse or psychologist, responsible for providing a wide range of behavioral health interventions from prevention to treatment to individuals
+ Under the supervision of a credentialed provider, conduct intakes, assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients, and counsel clients/patients with personal, behavioral or psychological problems
+ Working independently, perform a full range of standard and nonstandard work assignments and resolve a variety of non-recurring problems encountered on own initiative
+ Assign work by defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and provides guidance on assignments that do not have clear precedents
+ Use judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guideline for application to the work situation at hand
+ Refer unusual matters not specifically covered by policy statements or published regulations to the Government supervisor
+ Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and reports observations to licensed behavioral health staff
+ Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional
+ Complete initial intake interviews and complete required forms for new patients on behalf of the licensed mental health provider
**Additional Responsibilities**
+ Depending on the location and type of assignment, perform one or more of the following tasks:
+ Conduct intake interviews under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional
+ Administer psychological tests, compile data and prepare reports for psychological testing under the supervision of a licensed psychologist
+ Administer psychophysiological tests and assessments under the supervision of a licensed medical/mental health professional
+ Populate and maintain a computerized database which will contain the listing of all units within the HQ organization and identify the number of service members assigned to each unit/Directorate to compile monthly training statistics
+ Prepare daily correspondence, i.e., training agendas, meeting agendas, purchase orders, clinical appointments
+ Collect and maintain monthly statistical data assigned workplace
+ Prepare and maintain attendance rosters and statistical data for all active-duty personnel who attended Social Work/Behavioral Health services
+ Assist in developing program operating instructions and work with providers to uncover inefficiencies and make recommendations for corrective action
+ Make comparison reviews, including office time sheets, to ensure program operations are managed within budget
+ Be responsible for the development and implementation of appointment templates for clinical providers
+ Place physical maintenance work orders and maintain hand receipts for physical property and inventory
+ Ensure proper supply stock levels and order specialized behavioral health forms and tests
+ Assist or independently gather data for various presentations such as process improvements initiatives, longitudinal statistical tracking, hospitalizations, and discharges
+ Manipulate data and present using software applications
+ Provide information via telephone and in person to the members of the Command, the professional staff, civilian and military personnel in response to inquiries regarding appointments
+ Interface frequently with the Command's family support organizations
+ Maintain competency folders in accordance with program policy
+ Coordinate attendance and agenda at Case Review Committee with military and civilian agencies
+ Coordinate and reserve meeting location, verify attendance and prepare current and tentative following week's agenda
+ Prepare open and closed case reports for required special handling of outpatient medical records in accordance with regulations
+ Maintain a resource library for use by professional staff and customers. Select library materials with the intent of providing knowledge, ideas and support to practitioners in the fields of education, clinical social work and family studies
+ Provide services to families desiring information on healthy family life and parenting skills
**Key Qualifications**
+ Associate degree or commensurate level of training, e.g. military mental health technician, for a psychiatric technician or mental health program assistant. Education requirement may be met by military or comparable training. If military trained, the individual's specialty must be as a mental health technician/specialist.
+ At least three years' experience as a psychiatric technician
+ Possess a sound foundation/basis to psychology and/or social work
+ Possess knowledge of addressing the basics of conflict management and how to de-escalate crisis situations and individuals who are agitated, violent or potentially violent and/or suicidal
+ Prior training to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means
+ Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association, with documentation provided
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

A typical 12-week Project Odyssey consists of a five-day experiential learning workshop and 11 weeks of follow up. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Screen, interview, and assess warriors and family support members' who express interest in Project Odyssey (PO) and decide whether the warrior is, or the couple are, a good fit for and will benefit from participation in either a face to face model or virtual delivery.
* Evaluate and identify relevant mental health-focused resources for warriors or couples who are not currently ready for participation in Project Odyssey.
* Develop in person Project Odyssey mental health workshop agenda with intentionally planned activities focused on enhancing the mental health of attendees.
* Develop virtual Project Odyssey mental health workshop agenda with intentionally planned activities through learning management systems focused on enhancing the mental health of attendees.
* Manage overall facilitation of Project Odyssey including selecting participants, conducting the activities, facilitating psychoeducational workshops, and debriefing. Determine removal of participants, if necessary, with limited to no supervision from manager.
* Oversee participation in Project Odyssey. Adjust workshop agenda based on assessment of group dynamics, weather, and vendor availability. Identify and facilitate alternate activities as appropriate during the workshop.
* Provide continued care with Project Odyssey attendees over a twelve-week period through case management, mental health education focusing on resiliency and psychological wellbeing. Assist warrior's and family support members' and coordinate traditional or alternative therapy options as needed, e.g., Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Therapy, Inpatient Therapy, Equine Therapy, Vet Centers, and Mindfulness.
* Provide instruction and guidance and manage the progress of warrior's and couples' mental health-focused SMART goals.
* Maintain current and accurate data in WWP intranet electronic tracking systems, e.g., Salesforce.
* Conduct routine warrior outreach. Provide information on Project Odyssey programming to warriors, veterans, family support members, community, WWP teammates, and program partners.
* Leverage technical skills in the achievement of working and delivering programming in a remote environment.
* Learn and implement various modalities to execute on Project Odyssey and during follow-up, including a Learning Management Systems (LMS), Experiential Learning Models, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and family FOCUS.
* Lead a group of warriors and family support members through five days of experiential learning using approved and trained evidenced based mental health curriculum, with limited to no supervision.
* Lead a six to twelve-week virtual mental health workshop using approved and trained evidenced based mental health curriculum, with limited to no supervision.
* Manage multiple tasks, assignments and functions, meeting deadlines and deliverables with usage of metrics to meet key performance indicators.
* Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Screen, interview, and assess warriors and family support members' who express interest in Project Odyssey (PO) and decide whether the warrior is, or the couple are, a good fit for and will benefit from participation in either a face to face model or virtual delivery.
Evaluate and identify relevant mental health-focused resources for warriors or couples who are not currently ready for participation in Project Odyssey.
Develop in person Project Odyssey mental health workshop agenda with intentionally planned activities focused on enhancing the mental health of attendees.
Develop virtual Project Odyssey mental health workshop agenda with intentionally planned activities through learning management systems focused on enhancing the mental health of attendees.
Manage overall facilitation of Project Odyssey including selecting participants, conducting the activities, facilitating psychoeducational workshops, and debriefing. Determine removal of participants, if necessary, with limited to no supervision from manager.
Oversee participation in Project Odyssey. Adjust workshop agenda based on assessment of group dynamics, weather, and vendor availability. Identify and facilitate alternate activities as appropriate during the workshop.
Provide continued care with Project Odyssey attendees over a twelve-week period through case management, mental health education focusing on resiliency and psychological wellbeing. Assist warrior's and family support members' and coordinate traditional or alternative therapy options as needed, e.g., Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Therapy, Inpatient Therapy, Equine Therapy, Vet Centers, and Mindfulness.
Provide instruction and guidance and manage the progress of warrior's and couples' mental health-focused SMART goals.
Maintain current and accurate data in WWP intranet electronic tracking systems, e.g., Salesforce.
Conduct routine warrior outreach. Provide information on Project Odyssey programming to warriors, veterans, family support members, community, WWP teammates, and program partners.
Leverage technical skills in the achievement of working and delivering programming in a remote environment.
Learn and implement various modalities to execute on Project Odyssey and during follow-up, including a Learning Management Systems (LMS), Experiential Learning Models, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and family FOCUS.
Lead a group of warriors and family support members through five days of experiential learning using approved and trained evidenced based mental health curriculum, with limited to no supervision.
Lead a six to twelve-week virtual mental health workshop using approved and trained evidenced based mental health curriculum, with limited to no supervision.
Manage multiple tasks, assignments and functions, meeting deadlines and deliverables with usage of metrics to meet key performance indicators.
Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

Therapist - Counseling Center - 60% Full-Time (21 hours per week)
The Trauma Therapist position is 60% of a full-time position (21 hours per week) and is a hybrid position with 11 hours onsite and 10 hours remote. Onsite hours include 4 hours every Saturday and one shift from 12:00 to 8:00 during the week. This is an excellent position for clinicians in need of licensing hours and who wish to become experts in several evidence-based treatments for survivors of all ages of interpersonal violence.
The Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC) is a New York State-licensed outpatient mental health clinic that specializes, exclusively, in the trauma-focused treatment of child and adult survivors of interpersonal violence and other forms of abuse. SHCC also functions as the mental health “hub” of Safe Horizon, the largest crime victim's assistance agency in the country. Our main clinic is located at 41 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, and we operate two satellites that are co-located at other Safe Horizon programs. Nearly half of SHCC's clients are referred by one of Safe Horizon's vast arrays of programs. The Trauma Therapist will receive paid training and supervision in a variety of evidence-based treatments for trauma survivors, and the client hours meet New York State's experience requirements for LCSW licensure.
Responsibilities:
Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients.
Demonstrates exceptional engagement skills and clinical expertise in the provision of trauma-focused mental health treatment to SHCC clients (at least 60% engagement rate after 6 months);
Provides time-limited, evidence-based trauma-focused individual treatment to clients of all ages;
Develops and maintains expertise in the clinic's chosen methods of treatment including TF-CBT and Seeking Safety, as well as CPP, ARC, SPARCS, and CFTSI, as assigned;
Monitors treatment fidelity following training in evidence-based treatments;
Responds to the occasional client crisis, as necessary, with the support of the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor;
Requests and participates in case conferences as necessary;
Maintains a caseload of 16 clients at all times
Maintains a productivity level of 12 billable services per week (totaling 564 billable visits per year)
Participates in weekly supervision and treatment planning meetings;
Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all case activities such that it is in “audit-ready” compliance with all Safe Horizon City, State, and Federal requirements;

Must be able to attend weekly meetings on Zoom every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for training and group supervision.

Develop a written Individualized Service Plan (ISP) that reflects assessment outcomes, prioritized and mutually agreed upon needs, measurable goals and objectives, including timeframe and case management strategies.
Conduct ongoing monitoring activities, including contact with the client, other invested parties and service providers, to assess the effectiveness of the case plan strategies and measure progress on achieving case plan outcomes.
Use organization's EMR system to record all relevant case management service activity and information in a clear, concise, observable/objective professional and timely manner.
Document process, progress, and outcome measurements in accordance with client's service plan, assuring a clear linkage between case documentation and service plan.
Follow established professional codes of ethics and standards of practice to promote the best interests of the client and profession.
Transport and/or accompany clients to scheduled appointments as needed.

Clinical Rehabilitation Therapist
Screen and assess clients to identify and eliminate barriers to self-sufficiency as well as identify and clinically address behavioral health issues. Provide a range of assessment services: provide specialized mental health or alcohol and other drug services including mental health assessment, chemical dependency or dual diagnosis assessment, psycho-social assessment, pre-employment screening assessment, community support treatment or case management. Provide consultation to outside agencies on client problems, assessments and recommendations based on interview and assessment data. Provide consultation to clients related to their specific individual service plan (ISP) defined needs, priorities established or related to recommendations based on clinical assessment of client employability.
Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Within scope of practice, implement site/corporation approved treatment practices, procedures or interventions. Conduct a Diagnostic, Needs or Employability Assessment on referred clients. As applicable, monitor psychiatric symptoms of clients. Administer screening tools with client to access vocational and psycho-social needs (i.e., gather information regarding client's disability, functional limitations, work history, social history, educational background, treatment background and special interest) and prepare detailed report of assessment.
Make recommendations as to client's employability and need for additional treatment or support services.
Develop, maintain and monitor assigned clients' ISP: review assigned clients' progress in treatment and communicate with other qualified mental health, AOD and other providers, childcare, administrative, educational staff and referring agency staff regarding the progress of assigned clients. Provide referrals to other services as required or necessary. Monitor client's progress via review of progress reports, meetings and telephone contacts and identifies service plan amendments or need for additional services.
Coordinate services which may include medical, mental health or drug treatment, job training and utilize community resources when available to assist client in treatment engagement, gaining self-sufficiency, meeting goals.
Under clinical supervision, assist and support clients served in crisis situations.
Assist clients in strengthening communication skills: access appropriate physical and mental health care and chemical dependency resources as needed: access additional needs and provide opportunities to build social skills. Consult with other professionals regarding client needs/concerns.
Counsel clients toward increased functioning and develop goals. Advise clients on personal problems, career planning and emotional effects of disability and mutually agreed upon goals.
Provide psychoeducation to clients and family members.
Participate in Quality Improvement activities and service evaluation.
Attend and participate in meetings, supervision and in-service trainings regarding specific areas of responsibility.
Maintain case records according to funder policies and Federal and State regulations.
Maintain professional licensure requirements of the organization, the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist board and/or the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
Adhere to ethical standards specified by the Ohio Administrative Code, Professional Licensing Organization and Catholic Charities Code of Ethics.
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish program objectives.
