Shift Details: FT - 40 hours/week Compensation: $62,000 + annual salary About the job: The primary responsibility of the Residential Mental Health Therapist role is to assure each resident's clinical needs are met and individual treatment plans are adhered to by the assigned therapist and unit treatment team. This comes in the form of providing individual, family, and skills group therapy, as well as providing leadership and psychoeducation to a group of residential counselors. Essentials: * Provide regular individual and family therapy sessions; about 14+ clients per week * Provide clinical direction to the treatment team as well as coaching and mentoring to the residential counselors * Develop comprehensive treatment plans in cooperation with clients, families and treatment team * Facilitate DBT skills group at least one time per week * Lead treatment reviews * Attend and participate weekly in clinical and psychiatric consultation meetings and all required trainings * Coordinate consultation and services with psychiatrist, case managers, families, and other Avanti staff as needed to maximize client success * Complete ongoing documentation (diagnostic assessments, session notes, group notes, etc.) * Meet affirmative action goals established by the organization while maintaining a work environment which respects and supports cultural competence and proficiency * Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations * Participate in on-call rotation with fellow clinical team members to provide support/guidance via phone to direct care staff outside of business hours Job Highlights: * Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance * 403(b) Retirement Plan * HSA & FSA Programs * Employer Paid Life Insurance, Short-Term/Long-Term Disability * Quality training, continuing career education and leadership programs * Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days) Required Qualifications: * Must have a master's degree in the following fields from an accredited college or university and working towards licensure (e.g. Clinical Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy) * Licensed Mental Health Professional preferred (LMFT, LICSW, LPCC, etc.) * 2 to 3 years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents preferred (preferably in a residential or hospital setting) * Experience completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes * Must be 21 years of age or older * Must have a valid Driver's License About Us: Avanti Center provides therapeutic, residential care to adolescents aged 12-17 whose sex is assigned female, who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. This intensive, supportive environment serves adolescents that have tried outpatient services and are unable to be supported at home or in their community due to their mental health needs. Diagnoses include depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and emerging personality disorders which often present as self-injurious behavior and history of frequent hospitalizations for suicidal ideation and attempts. DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)-based interventions are used in programming. Role: These are caregiver positions with an emphasis on mental health and behavior management supports Job Description The Mental Health Coordinator II (MHCII) helps manage many aspects of care and support for individuals in a group home setting. Responsibilities include: * Assisting with personal finances * Planning activities and programs * Supporting behavioral needs * Encouraging family involvement * Overseeing education or job programs * Managing health, nutrition, and the household * Creating staff schedules The MHCII also helps the supervisor keep programs consistent and ensure good communication among staff and support team members.
