Lifeguard II is responsible for the health and safety of guests in attendance at the Kroc Center Hawaii aquatics facility. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or GED.
American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers.
At least 2 years lifeguard experience or a minimum of 700 hours of lifeguard experience at the Kroc Center Hawaii.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitors activities at the pool to prevent accidents. Maintains a vigilant watch of the swimming pool areas in accordance with the operating procedures and takes necessary action to ensure the safety of all pool users and staff.
Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations.
Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency.
Maintain swimming and rescue skills through conditioning swims and attendance at all training sessions, staff meetings, and in-service training.
Ensure that lost property is overseen and recorded in line with procedures.
Observe, document, and report safety issues to the appropriate supervisors.
