Job Overview: The cashier provides assistance to customers while performing key tasks that keep the store running smoothly. A successful cashier is friendly to his/her fellow employees and customers, stays busy maintaining and improving the store, and provides assistance to customers and staff. The cashier is key to the company because he/she is face to face with customers and plays a key role in the customer's experience. The store clerk performs duties that are critical to daily operations of the store and overall efficiency. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the gas pumps. Responsible for organizing and cleaning coolers and freezers. Responsible for providing customers with a safe and sanitary environment. Responsible for keeping the fountain drink syrup in the fountain drink machines. Responsible for stocking product on the shelves. Responsible for checking identification and properly selling alcohol and tobacco products. Responsible for being conscientious of profitability in all aspects of their job.
