Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Supervisor of Inventory supervises the day-to-day operations of Central Supply, Receiving, Procedural, and Clean Supply areas. This position serves as data gathering for the accurate control and implementation of hospital inventory for all supply locations. The Supervisor Inventory will monitor ERP maintenance and support and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). This position may oversee multiple Franciscan Health sites.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
* Work in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to accurately control inventory.
* Assist in identifying patient charge issues both in Supply Chain and Supply Automation systems.
* Assist in the building and implementation of new Supply Automation Systems.
* Communicate daily product availability, back orders, or substitutes, to requestors, as directed.
* Investigate, evaluate and resolve concerns of those we are privileged to serve; engage and inform management, as needed.
* Maintain assigned areas of operation such as coordinating staffing schedule, to provide volume-based staffing and satisfies the needs of the customer.
* Maintain necessary daily filing of reports and supportive departmental documentation.
* Runs required inventory reports as determined by best practice to properly maintain inventory levels to avoid stock-outs.
* Train and develop new Central Supply and procedural staff on the proper inventory processes, and provides follow-up education, as needed.
* Understands and is able to communicate to department Managers and staff proper supply automation usage for inventory optimization.
* Supervise coworkers and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
* Develop and manage departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma/GED required
* Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration (Business) preferred
* 2 years of Healthcare Supply Chain work experience OR 1 year of Healthcare Supply Chain work experience with at least 3 years of related healthcare experience required
* 2 years of procurement supervisory experience preferred

What you will be doing:
Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center
Supervises staff and directs work as they execute activities related to order fulfillment, order management, inventory management, stocking, material handling, equipment usage, and related needs
Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
Manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system
Interviews and trains prospective and new team members
Supervises business support staff development including appraising performance, rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ensures team understands and works toward performance goals
Recommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center
Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
Ensures compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures including safety
Schedules work for special and periodic inventories
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO9002 procedures
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.
Prepares reports for leadership
Assists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse
Submits weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives
Supervises employees in distribution center operation in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Other duties as required and assigned
*For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action
Requirements
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience
1 year of supervisory experience preferred
Experience with warehouse equipment
Experience with warehouse management systems
Experience with labor management systems
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
