    TEAM UP WITH US! The Rental Inside Sales Representative (RISR) is responsible for driving and achieving machinery, tool and equipment rental revenue growth by conducting outbound calls to dormant, inactive and/or lost customers. Developing and maintaining relationships, providing exceptional customer service and strong product knowledge are key to the success of this position and the department. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Drive and achieve machinery, tool and equipment rental revenue growth by conducting outbound calls to all dormant, inactive and lost customers on a consistent basis. Utilize dormant, inactive and lost customers list daily. * Drive rental campaigns and rental promotional activities as assigned. * Develop and maintain relationships internally and externally, providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction. * Understand customer rental needs; recommend products and services to existing and potential customers. * Negotiate rental contracts in accordance to all company policies, procedures and/or guidelines; utilize appropriate discretion to maintain profit margin. * Prepare and assist with rental quotes. * Complete rental transactions accurately and timely; coordinate pickup and/or delivery of rental equipment. * Determine cost effective method to transfer equipment between stores as needed. Track all rental equipment transfers. * Compare computer and physical inventory counts and solve any discrepancies as needed. * Obtain credit PO requirements from our internal credit department as needed on a daily basis. * Demonstrate safe and proper operation of equipment to customers. * Accurately document lost rentals from customer and sales representatives. * Ensure cash (COD) accounts are collected and maintained throughout the rental period. * Invoice rental fuel, maintenance, damage, and transportation costs as needed. * Provide prompt response to incoming calls and return of voice messages. * Ensure company policies, safety policies, and work processes are followed and in compliance. * Attend trade shows. * Maintain product knowledge in order to provide best solutions for customer needs. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to three years' related rental equipment industry experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Basic PC skills required, should have a working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and web-based computer platforms. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion, negotiating, relationship building, problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports and business correspondence. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced work environment. * Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Transactional & Administrative Tasks • Enter and manage customer orders, quotes, returns, and credits. • Research item availability and coordinate replenishment part orders. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. Position Requirements • Extensive phone communication experience in a customer service environment. • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or fluid power products. • Experience with ERP system, preferably P21 • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). • High School Diploma or GED required; additional education in a related field is a plus. • Experience in inside sales, purchasing, sourcing, or replenishment is preferred. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
