Assist the driver in maintaining effective pupil behavior management over students on the bus. Document and communicate to the parents any significant student behavior or medical situations observed while on the bus in cooperation with the bus driver. Safely use and secure adaptive devices, wheel chairs, and safety equipment according to district policy. Immediately notify the Transportation Director of lateness or emergency mechanical failure. Report all accidents and file required accident reports with the Transportation Director. Meet emergency situations in accordance with operating procedures. Respect the confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with accepted professional ethics, and state and federal laws. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Stay abreast of new technologies, data management and communication. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements as provided by state and federal law.
