DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Ability to read route Tablet/sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
+ Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip DOT inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids,safetyequipment, lights and tire pressure.
+ Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
+ Courteousinteraction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
+ A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday as needed, with overtime often.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
+ Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
+ Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basicsafetyprecautions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Safely drives truck on pre-established route to in accordance with Decision Driving principles within prescribed time. Collect and dumps garbage and refuse into refuse trucks while covering a designated route in a residential or commercial zone. Unloads refuse trucks at the landfill, transfer station, or similar facility. Operates compaction and lift equipment on roll off, side, front, recycle and rear-loading refuse trucks.
2. Provides Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals.
3. Ensure garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly; pick up may require using back door. Tags improper refuse containers and waste;
4. Answers questions for residents and directs them to contact Customer Service or appropriate government office for additional information
5. Performs Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines. Completes Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines. Includes inspection under hood, check under carriage, check fluid levels and air tires.
6. Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspect/Clean Truck: Lift hood, inspect under the hood, walk around and check under carriage; pump gas, check fluid levels and air tires - Uses air gauge, dipstick for levels, and gas pump nozzle for gas fill.
7. Performs a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse; moves and empties large trash bins using truck hydraulics;
8. Prepares, maintains, and submits required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents;
9. Performs other tasks as required -- such as, but not limited to, assisting other routes for completion, attending community events, or delivery of bins and/or carts.
10. Responsible for all people working on vehicles during the designated route.
11. Must comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
12. May be required to work during emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works. Requires a safe driving record.
* Requires 2 years of waste industry driving experience within the past 7 (seven) years
* Must be at least 21 years of age or older

Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions;
Hands-on operation, when required, of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment;

**️ What You'll Do:**
We provide trash and disposal services to the local community. You, a vital piece of the team, would be responsible for safely operating a **CDL Truck** delivering dumpster containers to customers, while providing the best service in the industry. This includes duties such:
+ Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.).
+ Determine the best, convenient drop off location for dumpster, to avoid property damage.
+ Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load Dumpster on/off truck.
+ Secure the Dumpster Load, cover appropriately and account for weight shift before departing.
+ Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
+ Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
+ Interact courteously with your customers.

**What we work with:** Trash is heavy! Sometimes we have machines aid our efforts. Other times we do not. And this is a service provided year-round - Rain, snow or shine. Hot or cold. Be prepared to work in all environments, around heavy diesel equipment. Not to mention dirty ones. Plan for the following labor:
+ Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work with consistent walking; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Exiting/exiting high set truck. Walking. Moderate noise level.
+ Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
+ Exposure to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
