Pay Range: $18-$20 per hour
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the inspection of incoming waste and the placement and management of that waste on the site as well as moving and spreading waste and earth. The efficient and safe operation of the site.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Able to operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment.
* Understand refuse disposal policies, procedures, guidelines and practices.
* Ability to manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
* Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
* Ability to maintain written records.
* Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
* See in the normal visual range with or without correction
* Exhibit normal range of body motion
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have a valid driver's license for the state in which the position works. Requires a clean driving record.
* 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
* 24 hour Landfill Operators License preferred.
* High school Diploma or GED preferred
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
* Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.

What You'll Do
Drive heavy equipment trucks with crew to job sites and lead the operation of heavy equipment to dig/back-fill trenches, lift or move heavy loads, assist in pipeline installation/repair, and clean drainage ditches.
Operate large trucks to transport equipment or materials to/from work sites.
Perform maintenance on heavy machinery such as lubricating parts, adjusting tracks, replacing hydraulic hoses, flushing radiators, and changing fuses.
Use pneumatic tools including jackhammers or saws for breaking concrete or cutting pipes.
Perform grading tasks using levels to ensure compliance with road resurfacing specifications.
Lead or assist with miscellaneous projects such as masonry work, line location, debris clearing, and drainage maintenance.
Ensure worksite safety with proper signage, traffic cones, and flagging as needed.
Complete work orders and reports accurately; attend safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
Collaborate effectively with team members and the public while following company policies.
What We Need from You
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training required
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience preferred
Valid driver's license and Class A or B CDL license required with ability to meet driving and safety standards
Skilled in operating heavy equipment and using appropriate tools and methods with awareness of public safety and the impact of equipment operation
Skilled at reading and implementing directions, conducting routine calculations, and resolving simple issues
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and other hazards
Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing required; ability to lift 50+ lbs and exert heavier force as needed

Position Overview:
The Equipment Operator works under the direction of the Yard Supervisor. This individual is expected to follow the instructions to complete various tasks assigned by the Yard Supervisor. Basic duties include loading and unloading material from various containers such as roll offs, gondolas, dump bodies, etc.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Ability to use equipment to load, unload or distribute material and sort and segregate overweight material efficiently

Required Characteristics:
Must possess basic reading and writing comprehension in English
Trained and certified to operate assigned equipment (examples could be excavators, material handlers, bulldozers and front-end loaders )
Must have the ability to perform the physical tasks of the job such as sitting for extended periods of time in a confined space (equipment cabin)
Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions

Take the next step in your career with Inframark! We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator with experience operating heavy equipment vehicles to join our team in the Eatonton, GA area. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment trucks and related equipment, primarily supporting stormwater operations in the local community.
The starting hourly rate is dependent upon experience.

What You'll Do
Drive heavy equipment trucks with crew to job sites and lead the operation of heavy equipment to dig/back-fill trenches, lift or move heavy loads, assist in pipeline installation/repair, and clean drainage ditches.
Operate large trucks to transport equipment or materials to/from work sites.
Perform maintenance on heavy machinery such as lubricating parts, adjusting tracks, replacing hydraulic hoses, flushing radiators, and changing fuses.
Use pneumatic tools including jackhammers or saws for breaking concrete or cutting pipes.
Perform grading tasks using levels to ensure compliance with road resurfacing specifications.
Lead or assist with miscellaneous projects such as masonry work, line location, debris clearing, and drainage maintenance.
Ensure worksite safety with proper signage, traffic cones, and flagging as needed.
Complete work orders and reports accurately; attend safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
Collaborate effectively with team members and the public while following company policies.
What We Need from You
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training required
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience preferred
Valid driver's license required with ability to meet driving and safety standards; Class A or B CDL license preferred.
Skilled in operating heavy equipment and using appropriate tools and methods with awareness of public safety and the impact of equipment operation
Skilled at reading and implementing directions, conducting routine calculations, and resolving simple issues
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and other hazards
Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing required; ability to lift 50+ lbs and exert heavier force as needed
Normal vision, hearing, and depth perception required; availability for overtime and non-standard hours

We are looking for a **Equipment Operator** to join the team at **JED Landfill in Saint Cloud, Florida** . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge _plus._ Monday - Friday 9am -8pm and every other Saturday 5:00am - 4:00pm $20.00+plus an hour DOE
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
+ Perform general labor duties around Landfill
+ Assist with landscaping duties
+ Will walk on slopes and pick up paper
+ Work in all weather conditions
+ Will be trained to operate HE equip. and to drive a semi tanker.
**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:**
+ Work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Must have 2+ years of heavy equipment operator experience
+ Must have valid Drivers License
+ Must be able to Read and Write
+ Requires basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide
+ Must have basic computer skills to email and scan documents
+ Will be required to analyze a repeating situation and make basic decisions
+ Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly

About the Role:
The Equipment Operator operates equipment to include frontend loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat and skid steer. Operators are to follow all Balcones Resources safety regulations and golden rules. Operator will provide pre-shift and end of shift inspections and is responsible for greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
Completes inspection report prior to using equipment.
Safely operate machinery under the direction of the shift supervisor or production manager. Load trucks, pile scrap material, load/unload barges and rail cars
End of shift clean up and equipment inspection.
Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
Commit to the overall safety of the work environment.
Sweeps and shovels residual waste from process.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Valid Driver's license
Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

About the Role:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will safely operate heavy equipment, such as loaders and trucks, to manufacture compost and other soil amendments.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate heavy equipment to load customers and assist with backyard when needed.
Load products in customer trucks and trailers
Complete and upload daily production reports
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Follow all safety policies and report hazards right away
Work closely with drivers, operators, and team members
Take part in training to grow skills and improve performance
Handle other duties as needed to support daily operations
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
State issued driver's license
One (1) or more years of experience with heady equipment required
Ability to operate equipment with precision for loading, lifting, and transporting materials, safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform minor maintenance
Knowledge of load capacities, center of gravity, and safe lifting techniques to prevent tipping or equipment damage
Identifying common mechanical issues and reporting malfunctions or damage for repairs
Preferred Job Qualifications:
OSHA 10 or higher certificate
Experience in the compost industry preferred
Basic awareness of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices
Strong understanding of surroundings to operate safely near workers, vehicles, and obstacles
Communicate effectively with team members and external customers
Ability to quickly adjust methods or paths based on terrain, obstructions, or material behavior
Committed to maintaining productivity and safety

About the Role:
The Equipment Operator operates equipment to include frontend loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat and skid steer. Operators are to follow all safety regulations and golden rules. The Equipment Operator will provide pre-shift and end of shift inspections and is responsible for greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
Completes inspection report prior to using equipment.
Safely operate machinery under the direction of the shift supervisor or production manager. Load trucks, pile scrap material, load/unload barges and rail cars
End of shift clean up and equipment inspection.
Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
Commit to the overall safety of the work environment.
Sweeps and shovels residual waste from process.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Valid Driver's license
Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Operate heavy machines to lift, sort, load or unload scrap metal and debris in preparation for processing.
* Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
* Determine load weights and verify against lifting capacities to prevent overloads and dangerous situations.

Qualifications of a Heavy Equipment Materials Operator

* Experience in the operation of a Caterpillar, excavator Sennebogen, Grapple.
* Previous Hydraulic Crane experience preferred.
* Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
