Position Overview: The Heavy Equipment Operator works under the direction of the Yard Supervisor. This individual is expected to follow the instructions to complete various tasks assigned by the Yard Supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Operator; operates the bulldozer, backhoe, trash compactor and heavy trucks as needed. Hauling, digging and pushing dirt and waste. Grade covered areas and maintain roads and access to the landfill areas. Clean concrete ditches and silt fences. Pick up litter and debris from landfill sites as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures. Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with the use of material moving equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years Heavy Equipment Operator experience is a plus Must have at least a valid Class B CDL Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain before hire.
