Commercial Driver - Columbus, OH (Ashville) The Opportunity: The Commercial Driver position for Packaging Solutions involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver product to our customers. Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized product inside the customers\u2019 location. Driver will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally How you will impact Packaging Solutions, a WestRock Company: \u2022 Safely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of product and materials. \u2022 Perform vehicle inspections as required. \u2022 Operate mobile apps on phone for ELD and proof of delivery. \u2022 Provide outstanding customer service during delivery. \u2022 Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program. \u2022 Ensure all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading. \u2022 Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns. \u2022 Utilize material handling equipment, such hand trucks. What you need to succeed: \u2022 Current CDL Class A license \u2022 Requires a current DOT Medical Card and a safe driving record. \u2022 3-5years of experience driving a tractor trailer and box truck experience \u2022 General fluency in English required, verbal and written \u2022 Basic computer literacy preferred \u2022 High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
