Position Summary The Lead position will be responsible for directing and delegating the daily activity of the department. Use machine tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices to fabricate machine parts. 10. Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning, inspection and lubrication) as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise and knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., electrical cabinets, machine interiors, lock out/tag out, etc.). 11. Thoroughly document maintenance activity using the CMMS, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system. 12. Champion process improvement in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root-cause solutions, and providing maintenance assistance as necessary. 13. Provide Preventative Maintenance support for the facility and equipment. 14. Repair and maintain items necessary to maintain process equipment in "Grade A" condition. 15. Assist in day-to-day support of operators, adjustments, setups, and changeovers. 16. Actively participate in the training of maintenance technicians. 17. Assist other maintenance technicians as required. 18. Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by OSHA, GMP, AIB, ISO and the department. 19.
