The Opportunity: Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems including PLCs. Responsibilities include: * Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently. * Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems. * Work on motors, conveyors, AC/DC, and PLC troubleshooting. * Will work with steam and boiler controls, and mechanical power drives. * Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities. * Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. * Complete Timely and accurate paperwork . Use machine tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices to fabricate machine parts. 10. Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning, inspection and lubrication) as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise and knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., electrical cabinets, machine interiors, lock out/tag out, etc.). 11. Thoroughly document maintenance activity using the CMMS, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system. 12. Champion process improvement in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root-cause solutions, and providing maintenance assistance as necessary. 13. Provide Preventative Maintenance support for the facility and equipment. 14. Repair and maintain items necessary to maintain process equipment in "Grade A" condition. 15. Rebuild parts and make identified repairs if possible or write up notifications. + Perform Tooling Conversions: Remove, clean, install tooling for various machines such as cup formers, lid lines, etc. Make all necessary adjustments and set proper settings. Test run equipment and make sure product meets quality standards. + Install New Machines: Jack up the piece of equipment to remove the skid. Set down the machine and level its legs using a leveler. Run the conduit for all electric hookups. Run air and vacuum lines. Install printer if necessary. Install side paper roll stand. Set up cup tubing. + Prep Machines for Production: Run the machines to produce products and evaluate their quality. Inspect the rim diameter, rim thickness, cup height, and test the cups for leaks. Validate lid form and quality checks after PMs or troubleshooting. If all test results are satisfactory, turn machine over to operators for production. If test results are unsatisfactory, make necessary machine adjustments and repairs. + Repair Parts: Pick up and repair worn and broken parts from the Parts Room. When repairs are complete, tag the part as 'o.k.' and label the part with its part number. + Install New Parts: Receive orders from manager. Sign out necessary parts from the Parts Room. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform tooling conversions, prepare machines for production, repair and install new machine parts as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on machines. In addition, perform and complete other work as assigned by supervisor. All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging safety procedures and policies. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: * Adjust / Repair Machines Throughout Facility: Make adjustments and/or repairs to all equipment throughout the facilities to keep them operational. * Perform Preventative Maintenance on Machines: Follow weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly maintenance inspection sheets or PM tasklists for the blanker, leak tester, slitter, baler, stretch wrapper, Lid Lines, Brown 800, autobagger, pad locker, conveyor, robots, cup machines and any other production/ support equipment or facilities. Rebuild parts and make identified repairs if possible or write up notifications. * Perform Tooling Conversions: Remove, clean, install tooling for various machines such as cup formers, lid lines, etc. Make all necessary adjustments and set proper settings. Test run equipment and make sure product meets quality standards. * Install New Machines: Jack up the piece of equipment to remove the skid. Set down the machine and level its legs using a leveler. Run the conduit for all electric hookups. Run air and vacuum lines. Install printer if necessary. Install side paper roll stand. Set up cup tubing. * Prep Machines for Production: Run the machines to produce products and evaluate their quality. Inspect the rim diameter, rim thickness, cup height, and test the cups for leaks. Validate lid form and quality checks after PMs or troubleshooting. If all test results are satisfactory, turn machine over to operators for production.     **Maintenance Job Posting** ** **Maintenance Technician** **Pay Rate** : $30.26-$3.34 per/hr based on experience and qualificaions **Category/Shift** : Hourly Full-Time; 24/7 12 hour shifts schedule; 7P-7A, every other Saturday/Sunday/Monday off (3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) **Physical Location** : Streetsboro Container 700 Mondial Parkway Streetsboro, OH 44241 **The Job You Will Perform:** We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. + Perform preventative maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring run out, calibrating dials, aligning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise level + Complete emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations + Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations + Accurately use measurement and test equipment + Maintain clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks + Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork + Work independently as well as part of a team + Follow all safety rules and practices + Perform other duties as assigned by supervision **The Skills You Will Bring:** + Minimum of 3 years' mechanical experience or equivalent education/trade school experience; + Advanced Electrical knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics; troubleshoot, repair and replace AC/DC drives and motors; and calibrate and set speed cards, potentiomers, tachs encoders, etc. + Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; + Strong mechanical skills and aptitude + Ability to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic components which affect mechanics in an effort to determine the equipment malfunction and restore to operation. + Ability to use a laptop to read, interpret, analyze, modify and create ladder logic; use a laptop to perform program transfers to all models of PLCs in the plant. + Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings, blue prints and schematics. + Ability to climb overhead structures; work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. + Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner. + Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to all projects large and small. + Self-Motivated - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Strong troubleshooting skills Candidates selected for further consideration will be required to complete a tests on job-related skills, a panel interview, background check, drug screen, and pre-employment health assessment. **The Benefits You Will Enjoy:** International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term Disability, 401(k) and/or Pension (where applicable), Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets. **The Career You Will Build:** Leadership training, promotional opportunities **The Impact You Will Make:** We continue to build a better future for people, the planet, and our company!
